There is absolutely no reason NOT to copy Dota's Autochess item system

Seriously, can we stop trying to be different for the sake of being different?

Just copy the dota system already, it's vastly superior.

Story of the recent League's champ design, both gameplay and thematics.

When can we get back to designs like a knight riding some animal and wields a polearm focusing on flight and long ranged attack, a mage using a long staff focused on buffing and casting deadly spells, or whatever instead of stuff like a person with 3 arms who uses a sandal as a magical medium to cast dimensional magic but is an AD assassin and only use their dimensional magic to apply on-hit damage.

Sorry, but what???? the original DAC item system is even more random than the TFT one, per creep dropchance like in TFT, but the item built paths means getting a complete item is as lucky like getting a 3star unit without heavy rerolls. Maybe you mistake it for Valves DotA underlords, which has a better atempt on it though i also would jsut copy there system. The guranteed 'draft-drops' are a great idea, the rest of their item system not so much.

At this point if they do that dota would easily sue them for plagiarism. Which would be justified

There's absolutely no reason NOT to play Auto Chess Mobile. It's the real game, UI/UX is a lot better, it's made by the creator of the original game, the balancing is great and has a great item system.

Underlords has the item system that TFT should copy.

I mean Garen has magic immunity when he spins even though Garen's spin does not have this quality in your game. Wonder where that idea came from?

I've said this since day 1.

If you want to see how items are done right -- go play dUL

i miss max hp5 in combat from warmogs funny that TFT can get the very thing that was killed from summoners rift.

If they implement guaranteed drops your next post will be complaining that you only ever get cloaks and vests. No matter what a huge chunk of this game is going to dictated by RNG.

If you want a game that doesn't make you think about how to use the random items you get effectively, then just play Autochess.

Also dota autochess was not made by Valve(Dota2). It was mod made by players. Valve made it possible to create mods using their game as a way to honor how the original Dota came to existence(mod to Warcraft 3). So Dota2 actually has tons of minigames inside it like for example tower deffense games and one of those mods was the autochess game. So I am not really sure they would be able to sue anyone over it unless they have some clauses in terms of service regarding it. Dota Underlords is the game from Valve and that is pretty much copy of the original Dota autochess mod. Dota underlords just changed the item drop system when it was released otherwise it is pure copy of the game. Auto Chess(mobile game) is a game made by the original creators of the Autochess mod and that is basically the exact copy of the game except the names of units and synergies since those are copyrighted. So I do not know about suing anyone over it.

rito: lets copy something thats doing REALLY WELL, but besides the basic concept, dont copy anything of the good stuff and instead create our own shitty stuff.
