The Essence Emporium options are pretty bad

I have 40k blue essence and nothing to spend it on. I thought the special shop was supposed to be a way of dumping a lot of our blue essence for those of us who were going to have a lot, what happened? I don't think 40k is even that much to accumulate to begin with and i still have nothing to spend it on.

I don't play warwick Chromas are w/e i might snag a few but it will hardly put a dent in my BE Mystery icons/ward skins who cares underwhelming I'm not a 13 year old girl so I don't care about emotes I already own all the champions i want

soooooooooo what am i supposed to do? Could have easily added some legacy skins to the shop or had an early release of old christmas skins. This is pretty lame.

they massively tuned down the gains anyways. youll probably eventually run out.

you dont gain ip/essence after games anymore. no more first win of the day bonus for 250 daily even when you play casual. your only sources of essence right now are level up, which is at the very least 10 games for every level, and honor capsules of which you can get like 1 or 2 per month.

i think you get like 500 or 600 essence out of those level up capsules?

so if you only played for the first win of the day previously compared to now, its ~2500 essence vs. like 600 in a timespan of 10 days.

I feel like every 3rd or 4th champion will be one that interests me and by that time I'll have enough essence just from playing to get it. Idk maybe I'm just being cynical but this seems pretty lame lol

Yea it seems the ip/be gain is much much slower now even though they said it should be at least equal or a little bit faster, which I personally expected to happen, can't let people get things for free.

Currency gain is the same as it was before. Instead of getting IP for matches, you earn XP towards leveling up, which gives you champion shards that can be disenchanted for a large amount of BE.

Instead of getting a small amount of IP every game, you get a large amount every few games.

the currency gain isnt even close to the same as before. if you believe that youre naive.

those shards dont disenchant even close for the same currency as you would have gained from playing games before.

especially since riot reduced the currency gain from shards from 1/3 of their value to 1/5. thats why they told us to disenchant all our shards before the patch.

Dont forget, if you get a single 10-game chat restriction and are stuck in sub-optimal ELO where people flame and tend to skip honoring, you're never climbing out of Honor 1 and will never even see honor capsules.

Also, you likely are in a higher MMR than i am. The better the players, the better a sport they are in win or lose. I have to deal with the stereotypical low-bronzes whom love to go off flaming about everything....

Calad, does this imply that Urfwick might make a return? I have 68k blue essence, but I don't plan on spending it willy-nilly, so I could get the goofiest Warwick skin in the future.. right? Or is this a one-time "deal"?

Um, content that's likely to appeal to a wide group of people perhaps? Skins immediately come to mind, though not necessarily all of them.

The problem ultimately ends up being those of us who have 5+ digit BE (previously IP), and literally nothing we care about to do with it. Most of the type of content that gets tossed out for things like this typically doesn't appeal to such individuals (I for one don't care about an emote reminding me that I have more BE than I know what to do with), and putting high-price items in alienates the people who don't have huge amounts of BE.

Could you look into adding Boosts to the list of Emporium options? Specifically the skin boost that is in ARAM would hands down be an awesome addition as a consumable we could buy a hand full of and then roll them later if we are feeling good about our team.

If this is more of a seasonal thing that you guys could get more prep for, I have a few options in mind.

Unique BE Chromas for each champion's Classic.

One of the issues I currently have with buying Chromas with BE right now is that the current set of Chromas are either for Champions I don't play, or Champions' skins I don't own. While getting a new Chroma for every champion would take time, having at least 1 unique Chroma for each Champion that could be bought without RP from any player who owns them would be nice incentive.

Expressive Unique Emotes

Personally I'm in the camp who thinks that Emotes should just have a BE cost in general (Or a price re-evaluation) , but the current two emotes seem like they're just BE dumps, rather than being desirable icons for me to express myself in a match. Having solid and expressive BE exclusive emotes, and importantly having emotes that aren't just BE dumps, would be nice.

Seasonal BE Skin.

Simply put, something similar to how HexCrafting has their own unique skins, only this seasonal skin could be used as the big BE dump item. Have 1 per year with a high BE cost to reward habitual players, and we've got something to look forward to at seasons' end.

Rotating BE skin Sales

If we have a BE store only open at very specific times of year, you could have a rotating sale going on, spread out depending on the time the store stays up, and how frequently the store comes back. Change the sale every few days or each week while the BE emporium is in town and you can keep people checking up on what the store has to offer.

I would like to be able to earn blue essence so I can use the shop when it comes back. Not getting BE after every game is just dumb. You made it sound like you were adding things for us leveling but you didn't you just took away our current rewards and put them into leveling.

If I could change one thing about league, I would go back to patch 5.22 and do almost literally the opposite of everything in that patch.

5.22 made season 6 and 7 the shit shows that they were, and was the point where league began running down hill straight into the shitter.

Yes, I agree with the sentiment, but imo League started heading downhill long before that. 5.22 was certainly a major culprit, hence why I included it, but the first MAJOR mistake I personally know of along the downward spiral that is League would have to be patch 3.14.

The entire thing was handled poorly, a few DOZEN champions all saw HEAVY unjustifiable nerfs. Rito created a MAJOR game imbalance that overflowed into every role, with repercussions being felt for years after, even slightly so today. It born the ABUSE of mages in the support role, Morg, Brand, Annie, Malz; while simultaneously creating the problem of solo-lane support abuse, Soraka, Lulu.

I understand the sentiment of what Rito was TRYING to do in 3.14, but the execution of it was fucking TERRIBLE. Essentially, it was their first attempt at what nowadays we know as 'Shield/Heal-buffing' passives, but rather than copying other mobas and creating a third 'utility' stat, Rito tried combining it into the AP stat. A huge mistake that resulted in countless cancerous strategies that even now we must suffer through.

I digress though. If I could spend 126k to buy an un-"reworked" (gutted) kit for a champion, I would. I don't even fucking care if it permanently rewrote their current kit, I wouldn't be fucking reverting a "rework" (gutting) if that current kit were even USABLE.

I am fairly disappointed in this also. I have 50k + essence, like everyone else, there's nothing to spend it on. If they had chromas for every champ, I'd be all up for it. At the moment however, it's chromas for select skins I don't own or basic champions I don't play and don't want to. The emotes are crazy overpriced, but just rubbishy cartoony poros anyway and urf ww is out of the question.

For spending real money on rune pages, I'm stuck with a skin for a champ I don't like or play. There's 5 messy and bad rune pages distracting me at champ select or when I try to create a new page. The whole thing just feels really lackluster and a bit irritating tbh. They could do so much better than this. At least create a few more interesting emotes/icons/chromas to spend the essence on... And give people a skin for a champ they actually play semi-regularly.

It's so demoralising to see roughly 7 years of playing league and investing real money into the game, just reward you with absolutely nothing except new and "exciting" gameplay where a bunch of people now one shot you.

I'm sitting at 87k AFTER I spent a bit on it. It is way less interesting than they made it out to be. The majority of stuff is just "silly mini cons", some ward skins, silly emotes I personally don't care about. I didn't have the 150k for Urfwick, but honestly I wouldn't have bought it anyways as I don't care about WW and the skins I have for him I like better anyways.

"We are going to be rewarding Vet players with more IP" they said a while back in one of those email things. Except that isn't true, cause the more you play the less BE you will end up getting, so eventually you will HAVE to start buying champs with RP. You will start getting to the point (like even by this time next year) where you will need 7-10 games to level up, and leveling up is the only way you get BE outside of loot boxes for getting an S, or flat out buying rp.

It's like they were trying to not talk about how shifty this was by talking up only the runes so much. The runes change was good, but this one is garbage unless you are a brand new player.

Hey Riot, the blue essence shop sucks. The only good reward was for players that had an INCREDIBLE amount of IP or just had the best luck in the world on the mystery champ shards before conversion. Chromas are okay at best but even then players that had more than 40k BE, as stated above, have nothing worthwhile to purchase.

I remember back when the hextech crafting system was first launching I had received an email stating that you were working towards a system that veteran players with TONS of ip, or now blue essence, would be able to use with meaningful rewards. If this is your endgame to that statement then it's a horrible solution.

The chromas would be better, and I would have gotten more if they actually had ALL the chromas up. Or even just all the base skin chromas. They only have the ones from the last 6 months, which I maybe had 1/3rd of those skins (I don't have meowkai or the moo alistar one for example).

Also, they definately aren't rewarding vets with more anything, given that you get much less blue essence than you did IP now, and the more you play, the less you get as it starts taking 10+ games for one level if you play a lot and you get about 1k BE at most then.

Also also this crappy shop is only open in November and not even the entire month of (ends the 25th I want to say?).

we can t get anything better ? ive been playing for 7 years and nothing is worth buying with my essence you guys should make the game better for vets because many veteran stop playing because they can t get anything better exept by putting money into the game i have 93000 essence im not gona spend 75000 for an emote that would just be a bad move from me and the ownly thing i can its your over priced skin ...i won t spend it on champs its been 4 years that i have all champs and wards i have 7 different types i don t really need more we should be able to get a different range of things to buy , signed a vet

... don't have enough BE for** urfwick** even if i wanted him (i have grey ww which is best ww) ... have no use for icons because 1) we can only use one anyway and 2) i'm happy with the ones i have, which is why i have them in the first place, duh ... have no use for champion shards because i own all champions ... have no use for chromas on skins i don't even own and i already purchased desired chromas (4 of them to the best of my count) for the base skins when they were on sale for IP in the first place ... have no use for the essence collector ward skin because 1) we can only use one anyway, 2) i'm happy with the ones i have, which is why i have them in the first place, duh, 3) even if i didn't have good ward skins i just got the rune enthusiast ward for investing in runes, so the BE one is redundant ... have no interest in emotes which i won't buy because 1) they are out of place in lol's aesthetic and 2) i'm not a twelve year old girl

... guess i might get a gemstone? I don't have any interest in the hextech exclusive content (see above about ward skins and skins for champions i don't play) so it would become a chest and key pair if i even bothered to get it. One random skin shard for all that BE, two if i hard grind it out for a few weeks.

you guys do realize there are 5 roles in this game, Warwick fills one of them, it's cool that we get the option to buy a "meme" skin and an old one at that, but the whole "more options to spend on" didn't satisfy the community, just the 2% who main that champion, and the 0.5% who still find the urf meme le funny xD.

not mad I know you guys can't offer every champion's skins for blue essence, I can suggest that you'll consider these things:

1.Make a random skin shard store option just like the champion shard.

2.Make personal store have at-least one random skin cost blue essence.

3.give me money back le xd

P.s: I could put the stupid ass cannon minion icon and not give a shit for eternity, I'm pretty edgy like that.

Pretty pissed by this whole runes reforged stuff and essence emporium. First they increased the prices of skins and what not in the shop a few years ago, despite almost no inflation happening and people not really earning more in EU, but whatever.

Then they pretty much got me stuck with seven rune pages, instead of the 20 or so mastery pages and some standard runes that covered ALL champions. Now I basically have to create 1 or more rune pages for every champion, which means I've made an external spreadsheet to keep track of builds. After time it will probably get easier to relatively quickly change loadouts in champ select, but it's an unnecessary change that makes the game just more frustrating.

And now I'm sitting on 60k BE and there's literally NOTHING in the shop I want to spend it on: Chromas? Not really seeing the appeal of getting different colours for skins I've already bought with real money. They're basically 5 minutes of efforts reworks, yet are sold for 1/4th or so of the price of an actual skin. To be honest, Chromas should have perhaps been unlockable through playing. Similar to how HOTS does it (although they really went overboard with ffree stuff, not that I complain). Ward skins, emotes, icons? Really? Already got the Urfwick, since I had the old skin already. That leaves me with A gemstone, which would bring me up to 5. Yes, I have earned 4 gemstones from quite a few chests. And you need 10 for just one of the hextech skins...so it's a pointless investment as well for that price. Soooo, I guess I'm just gonna sit on my 60k and slowly lose enough currency to not be able to buy new champs with BE through mystery shards at some point in the future...which, I guess, is what they want to happen.

I bought 2 chromas for the one color combo I like the most if I use that skin or champ. IMO no real point in getting them all when most will just go unused.

Bought the 2500 BE icons and was super disappointed to find out it's total RNG and 1 per box when theres only 2 that i like, yet need to dump 20000 BE to get them all. Morg was literally my last one and the one I wanted the most

Mystery icon, eh 1500 BE for random shit I probably wont like or use Mystery ward skin, same as above. Most ward skins I dont like Mystery champ... I can get this anytime i want throughout the year BE only ward skins, ugly. Wont ever use Everything else too expensive

They also really need a filter to show which chromas you can use based on your champs and skins. Needing to scroll through pages of that shit you cant even use is stupid

Worst of all is, when you level up the exp required also increases, making it even harder to buy champs. Can Riot allow people to gift champs with BE? You can help so many people that way and use that BE.

Yeah well for people who don't spend their time on forums and league of legends news with patches every damn week now, it was impossible to know. Maybe some kind of message on the loot screen or something would have been fitting for such big changes. It's not like it takes into account years of our lives... or does it? The things to buy really suck. I thought we would at least get gemstones but i'm still sitting on the 3 gems stones I got in the first week of hextech crafting patch a crazy long while ago.

We mostly all put crazy money in this game and we mostly get rewarded with more rito is crooked as hell and just doesn't give a shit about rewarding it's player base, just sell more overpriced stuff and "free" bad shit...

Seriously this game would be so much better if riot wasn't constantly trying to rip off their player base and shit on the time and money we all put in the game.

Shards are worth less, we get less ip from playing and get less and less RP for the same money.

Frankly rito's customer treatment screams disappointment and player manipulation way too loud.
