TFT matchmaking in Ranked is (unironically) busted.

So, I'm Silver IV. Nothing great. Pretty standard. Etc etc.

For some reason...I'm getting matched up with Gold, Plat and even Diamond TFT players. I get that my MMR is high, yeah, but hey? Maybe give me the same rank of the people I'm playing against?

Seriously if I'm going to be Silver, match me with Silvers. This isn't like SR Ranked where people complain that they sometimes get matched up with Golds in Plat games, even though that's not ideal. No I'm getting matched with people ten or more divisions higher than me. Whaaaaaaaaaaat the fuck man. And hell, I climbed from Iron to Silver.

How do you not understand how TFT matchmaking works? It actually doesn't matter 1 bit with whom you're getting placed into a game, if you got the lowest MMR out of all other players you'll win crazy amounts of LP for winning and lose almost nothing for losing. I sometimes get >100LP for a win because everyone else is higher MMR in the game. The system is very fair and far more balanced than League of Legends will ever be.

I'll confirm this. I'm sitting in Silver 2 atm, and face a field of what looks like 100% high plat players, so it seems like the matchmaking is completely based on MMR. I started playing TFT on EUNE where I went through the ranks normally while learning the game and landed around P1-D4, but on this EUW account, after a few early high placements I'm straight up playing against my MMR instead of my rank, which makes it extremely hard to place high in any game and rank up to where I belong based on my skill.

do you have any screencaps of you getting matched with diamond players? I don't even get matched with diamonds and I'm in plat 3 with good mmr. looking at your lolchess.gg, I really, really don't believe you're matched with players that high in ranked.

I can't get better rank because I'm being matched with Silver, Gold, Plat and one time a diamond. And I'm only iron I, I don't know if it has anything to do with a single win that I've got??? Because it happened after that???
