Shen This was gonna be a long, detailed and very desperate post. Then i just came from watching the stats of your broken champion Darius so i'll keep it nice and short.

Shen Rework:

#Minor Changes

  1. Increase the heal scaling on Vorpal Blade from 1.5 to 2%.
  2. Have shen's shield remove crowd control effects and make him immune to them for the duration.
  3. Have shadow dash's cooldown reduced by 2 seconds whenever shen dashes to a target marked with Vorpal Blade.

#Intermediate Changes

  1. Increase the base damage and scaling of Vorpal Blade to 65/105/145/185/225 +65% AP from 60/100/140/180/220 +60% AP.

  2. Split the W into a 2 cast ability, the first being the shield (we all know but not-so-much-love) and the second is a magic damage ability that can only be activated after the shield has been broken dealing 50% of the shield's strength as magic damage. Call it Crescent Slash which will cost 25 energy and the shield will cost 40 energy at all levels.

  3. Add 10% total reduced critical strike damage to his passive making him take lesa damage from crits (stacks additively with reinfored armor passive) like how Kassidin takes reduce magic damage. Double passives are trending, just look at Akali :)

  4. Return the shield shen gets when he teleports, do you know how risky it is when using in the heat of battle, risky is for assasins not tanks, and an enemy team can do tons of damage in a matter of seconds if they are all aiming at you.

#Major Changes (Everything above together). Puts him in line with Darius if you ask me and thats look at everything except their ults.

Second point in minor ideas is too OP. The only thing that Shen lacks is damage (maybe add damage if shens shield breaks?).
^^EDIT: that would be neat in current jungle!^^

Also increase taunt duration if he taunts just 1 player. And lil buff on Q also would be nice.

You shouldn't compare shen to darius, because they are too different kind of tanks. Darius = offensive tank, lots of power, 0 sustain Shen = utility/support tank, almost no damage, but Q for hp and double shields

(Even Garen can't match yolo Darius)

"First things first" I have a damage ability that can only be activated after the shield has been brocken (giving him a sort of counter play) dealing AOE magic damage as a slash in a cone infront of him, Much like Riven's Windslash but much much weaker.

Also it makes sense he is ultity based, he is a flippin' ninja, they rely on thier weapons and tools to get the job done. By my second point in minor changes it gives him that ultility making him harder to catch as well as a better duelist against CC champs with increasing his damage output. That one change can do alot if used right, but I hardly consider it op, their are alot of OP broken things in RIOT simply because they believe it is best that way and as they slowly crack and change their way of thinking, for example: Kalista's ult taking away control from all'y hand, they said they would never make an ability like that.

However, I agree with you on the changing Q and E. The idea of making the taunt last longer if it hits a dingle target is pretty unique, and makes sense logically speaking, I could be wrong but I believe Kha'Zix will be the only one who shares that mechanic all though they are kinda different, (Isolated, Hit one person) i would never have think of that. But it would have to be a significant change to make a player consider whether to taunt just one specific player and go for the bigger taunt or go for the entire team with a smaller duration taunt. I think it should 2.5 seconds for 1 champ and 1.75 for more than one champ, it should increase in damage to, this will make it an ideal ability for taking out deadly targets on the other team and that speaks ninja :) it's not and op change if you consider shen toplane with a darius, i mean look at rammus and his taunt reduces armor not reduce damage taken.

Also it would be nice if the E did 30/80/130/180/230 +50 AP as True Damage. But this is debatable.

Also i really think something significant has to be done with the shield, either the double cast ability, CC removal/immunity or give him 20/40/60/80/100 armor and magic resist for 6 seconds (increasing the cooldown of course). Shen is energy-based, having an ability like this assuming it costs the same will put less strain on his energy gauge. No one can span a 50 energy shield twice in hopes of negating tons of damage and no one would at it's current base values [unless they are running for thier life]. I think it could use a passive as well as an active, going in this direction could help.

Last but not least is thier any champ that can counter crits? and i don't mean block, dodge, parry I mean reduce it's effectiveness on them like the reinforced armour mastery. Adc's, Fighters and Assasins are sliced ham to a fully equipped Master Yi with 100 crit, 300+ atk dmg and like around 1.5 atk spd. A tank is no different, thats what I hate about this game, i like that Shen is utility based but (sorry if i'm stereo-typing) when I think of a Tank I think of someone that can deal and take tons of damage with a bit of CC, much like Darius and Sion but at the cost of slow movement and attack speed. And when i think assasin i think swift fast, burst, lifesteal and health regen to get back in the fray!

I am not comparing him with Darius, i mean darius is 1st role: Fighter, 2nd role: Tank. Shen is a 1st role: Tank, 2nd role: Fighter. My problem is not only does Darius deal more damage (which is understandable) he also is more tanky at the early laning phase. This makes me angry. Like shen I believed the games players should be balanced with a give and take everywhere making the only difference is the the abilities of the champ, his items and the skill of the summoner. Not tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 champs >:(

displeased, another lol player and shen fan Shen

Shen's mostly fine, maybe with slight energy problems. The thing is he's purely teamwork oriented, he's not supposed to be able to duel. And yet, he's still strong 1v1 considering he effectively has no ult. And he lanes fairly well when compared to other multi-role tanks like Rammus. I mean since when is no mana pool not a significant early game advantage? The only energy champ that legit struggles early on is Akali.

Still thinks he needs one. Just compare him to rek'sai. The both have a range magic damage Q, they both have a dash E and sustain and a global ult and one form of CC.

Heres the difference: Rek'Sai needs nothing to cast his abilities. Although Rek'Sai can't shield his allies he can teleport anywhere on the map provided he left a burrow cave. This can be quite frustrating for a when because Allies often disengage even after they recognize they have been shielded. Rek'Sais CC stop their movement as well as attack where as shen only redirects and reduce the damage.

Conclusion Shen has to many limitations even for a enemy champ (zed, kennen and Lee do not have this problem... Not sure about akali). He is too dependent for a ninja.

However I have no problem with his passive and his ult. My problem lies within the Q,W and E.
