Can we please have a sandbox mode?

I'd like a sandbox mode, I find practicing abilities or summoners inconvenient. Like one game I created a custom game for myself with no bots/players/no ip xp gain/anything and I wanted to practice flashing, but I had to wait every 300 seconds for this. This doesn't seem very conventional and uncomfortable to practice.

It would be really helpful if you could implement the sandbox mode with no cds.

Thank you

This would be very useful for practice, as well as finding interesting data. Imagine a mode where you can set initial gold and initial level. You could find out trivia like "Who's bigger, 6 Stacks Cho'Gath, Ulted Nasus, or Max Health Zac, both with Lulu ult and increased size elixir? How big can they get?" or "how long does it take for full build __ take to solo an entire enemy base?". Those normally require a lot of time from a lot of people, and I would think many would have fun messing around with it.

Woo, sandbox! Of course there'd be no XP or IP rewards in the mode, but adding a mode meant for practice and experimentation would improve player skill, generate interest in finding interesting but functional builds and compositions, and allow players to find the champions which best suit them and then branch out from there. All this on account of the sandbox mode itself taking off most of the pressure to perform or conform as per the meta. This, in turn, would make the competitive scene much more varied and much more exciting.

I also agree, but there should be a part of the sandbox mode to select which kind of game mode from any game mode released. For example, make it an option to play custom games with Ultra Rapid Fire or mix it up and play Ultra Rapid Fire HexaKill.

Thank you

Can we include a dps meter in this mode? Like vs a dummy or w/e. Sometimes its hard to tell what the best build REALLY is. And yeah +1 this idea, I want to practice some flashcasting.

It seems this idea comes up at least once a week, gains some traction, then gets ignored by Riot and nothing ever happens. item 3070

As someone who's still trying to learn the ropes, I'd really appreciate something like this (and I'm sure others will as well). I remember watching a vid some time ago about flash juking, so I wanted to try something like that. When I get the opportunity in real matches though, sometimes I get nervous in the heat of running, and mess up my flash causing me to land just in front/beside the brush. Being good at something like this comes with experience, but it would be nice if I could practise jukes and finding new areas to flash to... and just practise flashing in general without having to wait a long time to use it again. I like to play as Ezreal to get a feel of going over walls and whatnot, but his E isn't the same as Flash, and I'd prefer practising with the real thing as well. Also, zero cds (or perhaps a command to reset cds) for spells would be amazing because some champions have difficult combos to pull off, and the more practice, the better, right? Then there's item build testing... And I could keep going on. There's so much potential you could do with a mode like this...

What do I have to do to get a sandbox mode!?

IIRC, Heroes of the Storm has something like this ^^

Neon Chains12/15/2014, 5:46:50 PM3 votes

This is basically asking for URF in custom games. Riot will never agree o-o

YossarianSensei12/16/2014, 5:34:11 AM3 votes

They should just release a map editor like Starcraft

Theorycrafting goes by 90001x faster when you don't have to wait 20 minutes to test 1 spell

This would be a great thing for messing about, and is overall a worth it investment on riot's end.

Sandbox mode would require money, time, and resources "Riot doesn't have" because they are trying to balance stuff that came up from balancing other stuff (By balancing I mean ruining)

@Riot Please make this happen! Imagine the practice people can get!

RooneR8/14/2015, 7:30:38 AM1 votes

OMG... STOP CRYING PLS!!!! KIDS... -.-* This mode is unfair against them who learn by they own in normal games!!!! LCS players and others... I must do the same as they learn by my own and what all the cooldown on summoners spells... GUYS U ARE NOOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i feel riot will fall soon. falls off too much from polish and stability compare to blizzard.

Can they also make it so you can control multiple champs at once? Like you have a control window in game and you can edit them all from there.

sort of like smash practice mode

You guys have no idea how many threads I've personally read the Red's responses to this exact question on. Pls stop, just google it. "Riot, can we have a sandbox mode" like 10 things come up instantly, and if you went through more pages, you could most likely find close to a couple hundred.

This is good for a lot of reasons. For instance, you are playing a competitive scrim vs another team then someone has to go and instead of rescheduling you can remake the game with everyone at the same level with the same items, drags, turrets, barons and inhibs that they had taken prior. Also this can be used as a handicap for when a diamond team vses a bronze team trying to help them out by letting them start with say 500 gold extra or something.

I would love this. I hate going to a site like leaguecraft and assuming a build works because it looks good on paper. I don't want to experiment builds in normal games where I hinder my allies, and I can't experiment builds in an AI match because they are over within 10-20 minutes.

Zavern3/19/2015, 3:40:26 AM1 votes

I would really love this. I hate needing to spend nearly an hour farming up to get the right build. Even more so if it is for a support.

This will create more game mods, it will help riot to create new mods, or just let the community create mods. What made Counter Strike and such old game, really awesome? it's the ability to create new mods, you never get bored, and with those mods less toxic players, because those mods are purely for fun.

Probably in your settings you could change settings, like cd, or gold, etc.

I like this, I practice all the time in customs since you can quit at any time, it's a great warmup.

Similar to a post I made about improving Custom game creation since it takes 27 clicks to make a game with intermediate bots to practice with: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/ZPfhPfEP-idea-request-custom-game-with-bots-ezquick-setup
