Mark/Dash is almost balanced

Only 2 things remain and this will be a healthy summoner spell for ARAM. In fact, if you fix the following tools you can probably even bump the CD down to 30 seconds and you still won't really see long range carries taking the summoner anymore.

  1. Minion Dashing. This is a counterplay issue. If I see snowballs coming and I take the effort to dodge it, I should be able to successfully avoid the engage. Minions shouldn't be taggable by mark. This increases players ability to aim the snowball while removing the BS aspect of dashing to a minion line with Galio and getting a free 5 man ultimate.

  2. Untargetability/invulnerability while dashing. Just remove it. Allow people to be CCed out of their dash and allow them to take damage. People are using this to dodge skillshots amongst other things and it's just a silly mechanic to have. It's a huge reason why snowball is still viable on ranged champions that clearly would want to avoid gap closing.

Side note: You really need to nerf Ludens Echo on ARAM. Make the AOE prioritize minions unless the skillshot has struck a champion. Alternatively, remove it altogether and replace it with something else. It lacks counterplay and gives big AP damage to champions who really don't need it (Ex: Janna/Nami/Sona/KogMaw)

Should also remove the free vision too. ruin plays for stealth champs like Shaco, Evelynn and Teemo.

I'm still thinking this is yet another skill for bruisers. If they take this, remove their ult ... it is no different than Nocturne's ult without the vision cloud. It needs to go away. This was our mode ... the players invented it on the rift as a mode, and riot just can't stand having US figure out something we want to do. They acknowledged that we figured something out, and just like every other thing we figure that doesn't go along with the way they planned it, they have to ruin it. AP yi was beast. So what does rito do? Remove his AP ratios on alpha strike. Riot, leave our mode alone. Take out mark/dash. It isn't on SR, and you wanted to "help" make sure the gentlemen's agreement was more than just the agreement ... that was fine, but you messed with it all the more. Get out! Stay out!

i was pretty vocal in my complaining about mark/dash. However now that it has been fixed i am very happy with it.

Honestly, I feel like cleaning up the range to something more reasonable and giving it an actual CD are enough to make the spell fairly balanced. I still think it flat out shouldn't do damage, but I'm willing to take it as it is, since Riot reduced the range to something that doesn't invalidate turrets.

I'm not sure I agree that skill dodging is a concern with snowballs now; That's a fairly expensive dodge because doing it means you can no longer use it to engage or stick to a fleeing enemy during that fight. It's also not entirely reliable; it's fairly hard to do if you don't already have someone marked and it's a short reaction window.

I do, however, agree that the free hawkshot and minion dashes are a problem. I can also admit to being one of the worst perpetrators of both of those things--especially bush checks. I own and play a lot of assassins, so I spend a lot of time working on bush control and the snowball gives me a lot of free power to do so.

The changes were definitely a huge step in the right direction, but they could use a bit of extra polish. Champions with vision control skills lost a lot of value when snowballs became a permanent aspect.
