Honestly, the mode doesn't necessarily have to take place on the Howling Abyss either, you could have All Random Summoners Rift (ARSRURF? That sounds dirty... Think of a more clever name if you go through with it. "Ultra RANDOM Fire", maybe?)

I'd worry that, if it took place on the HA only, it might fall into the same trap of "Team that luckily gets a poke comp wins", so having it on SR, but still random, would allow for a bit more variety in what you can do to win (Splitpush, teamfights, objectives etc.)

But at the same time, I can see the appeal of "I want to see what my favorite champion is like when supercharged!" being a good reason to keep regular champ select; maybe there could be a middleground? Two seperate queues might be a bit too much of a strain on the servers, but maybe if you made Co-op as blind pick, with PvP as Random? I'm not sure.
