Factions Tournament — Ionia, the Freljord, and Bilgewater (July 26–27)

Factions is a community-run game mode in which Summoners declare for a faction, such as Demacia or Ionia, and then fight matches using faction-specific Champion lists. The outcomes of these matches drive a developing storyline.

Factions is broken up into discrete storylines, and Summoners can freely change factions from storyline to storyline. We've just finished the fifth storyline, Hextech Revolution, and we're in "Intermission" until early August.

That whole thing with Shurima was kind of a let-down for Demacia.

During this break, we're running some casual weekend tournaments. This weekend, the theme is Draft a Faction. Each team has been allowed to freely select which faction they will represent for the tournament.
