Is this gonna be a perma mode on SR? or just a fly-by, featured mode? It seems like a lot of planning and balancing has gone into this mode, would be a waste to see it here for a mere 2 weeks.

Officially it's just a Featured Mode for now. There's speculation that it's being used to test items though.

They should at least leave it for the summer, or better yet the remainder of the season.
