On relationship of Xerath and Azir

Am I the only one that wanna see a hint that says they care each other in their deep soul but don't wanna make it clear because they think it would be weakness. Like Magneto and Professor X. They're rivals, they tried to stop each other countless times but never tried to kill. They also sometimes helped each other, they made ally. What about a weaker version of this relationship? What if Xerath still cares Azir?

Just imagine, Xerath saves Azir in a big void invasion. A pretty powerful void spiece swarm surrounds Azir, Azir has no escape way, has a sure death. Then Xerath saves him. They still continue to be rivals but it gets weaker.

Could be the best bromance.
