RIOT, please postpone Blood Moon Diana and make it into a Legendary skin.

I'm just saying, please, make it grand. The Blood Moon line should be her skinline to own.

Make me spend a couple of extra dollars for it? Sure. Since my soul is already at ease to know that Blood Moon Diana is actually coming, I wouldn't mind waiting a couple of patches to get a hold of it, especially if it gets upgraded into something even more amazing!

I've been in love with Diana's character and her lores, the previous and the current, since her release.

She should be the Star Guardian Jinx to this set, you know?

If you guys decide to postpone the skin you can take the time to implement what some of us are asking, maybe even begging, for. The potential that this skin has is immense! Please, don't let it go to waste.

• Make the mask a toggle, please, I beg you. She already removes her mask on her recall, but will you only let us recall to do so? Even in her splash art she shows her face and her Lunari brand with pride. I say since her face is already with the model, make the mask a toggle and get the best of both worlds. Maybe make her "laugh" emote the toggle to do it, since it's short and she just scoffs with a quick jerking motion with her head. Personally, and I hope people back me up on this, is that the Lunari brand on her forehead is one of the most iconic features from the champion pool in League of Legends. Allow us to show it off, please.

• Touch up on her clothing because it looks to bright and cartoony. The mask is also a bit too... bright? The white part of the mask looks plastic and doesn't seem to match the one on her splash art. Maybe shade it a slight shade of gray?

• The dark gray fur on her left shoulder seems really out of place. In the splash art, it is the same color as her hair even being under the same moonlit lighting and it looks great.

• The black part of the blade is pretty apparent on the splash art but not on the current in-game model. If you tweak the brightness in the official splash art just a bit you can clearly see the black/red contrast in the splash art. http://i.imgur.com/qpEGvqfh.jpg This picture has also been brought to my attention and I wholeheartedly agree. http://i.imgur.com/upIdDsX.jpg

• There's a flute or an instrument missing. I know it. I swear she grabs it from her waist during the recall animation with her left hand while she grabs her mask with the right... But it's not there?

• A loading screen border, maybe? Maybe something not too distracting like Elementalist Lux's and have something subtle like the PROJECT skins. Maybe just a small ornate border with the Blood Moon symbol at the center bottom?

• A more vivid Moonfall (E) particles? Personally I think the Blood Moon symbol outline during the split second of her Moonfall animation is too thin and pale that it almost just looks like a circle. I'm not too bothered about this one though.

Now that I'm done saying my opinions on what should be done, let's talk about the amazing things the skin already offers!

• 9,999/100 splash art. My favorite in the entire game so far. • The claws! Hello?! She's Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada. • Her wrist bangles! • The one sided sleeve! That's the HBIC look. • The clothing is A++ for the title of Blood Priestess. I don't understand why people want her clad in armor. I really hope you won't "cover" her up more (you already covered Santa Braum enough lol). When I look at the splash art, I see her as a spirit. I see her walking through the streets of a village wrapped in a light mist. She needs to be in light, airy, whispy clothing for this to work, guys. She's not even "revealing". She's only showing some skin to compliment her elegance. • Those "tattoos" are gorgeous! Amazing color and the small trails of it shown on her thighs really compliments the one on her arm! • She becomes the spirit of her mask when she ults. OH MY GOD!!!! YES!! • The hair! The hair is messy and flowy and it's just... Perfect! • And the best thing about this skin is... It's actually Diana! Literally! It's not just some "skin" for the champion, it is the champion! In the splash art the symbol on her forehead is the actual Lunari brand that classic Diana actually adorns, probably glowing a pale red due to the Blood Moon event for god knows what and her connection to it... AND I JUST LOVE IT. I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS FROM IT.

i'd easily pay 1820 for it if they improved it further. I love Diana even tho i dont really play her that much anymore but yeh this skin has INSANE potential.

Bloodmoon Diana is such a step up from infernal. Diana is my favorite character hands down, even though it seems riot tends to forget about her since she rarely receives updates or skins. This skin is so close to being perfect for the asking price of 1350 rp. It just needs a couple of improvements to make it better. Here are my suggestions.

  1. Her mask needs some more details, and I'd love to see a blood red trail of light coming from the blood moon symbol. Even though riot has put their foot down on the toggle mask idea, they should at least consider putting her mask on the side of her head. The females in the blood moon line are the only ones don't actually cover their faces.
  2. Her clothing looks too new. I wish they would darken up the colors and show her outfit in tatters to represent that she has been in battle. In her splash we can see pieces of her clothes torn away, and the look of her face shows her tired from a fierce battle. 3 All of her particles are amazing except for her E ability. The symbol is almost barely recognizable. If they could just brighten it up and outline it more it would be great.
  3. Her recall animation is the weakest out of the whole bunch, and one small change could make it better. I suggest that as she starts to recall the lighting around her begins to darken, and some dark blood colored smoke begins to envelope her slowly as she begins her ritualistic dance and playing her flute. Her glowing mask would be the last thing you see before she is completly enveloped in the mist as she teleports back to base.
  4. I think everyone agrees that the splash art is beautiful it's just missing one small detail. If they could add the flute she plays somewhere attached to her hip, and also the character model. It looks really weird that she pulls a flute out of thin air.

Anyways those are just some of my opinionstuff. If anyone agrees with me feel free to suggest them in other threads that the designers and artists will actually see. Thankyou

This skin deserves to be legendary. Diana deserves it to be legendary. This skin should be made as awesome as possible even if we had to wait a little longer. Because you know, it's not a seasonal skin line like Lunar Revel, Valentine or Christmas skins which has to be released at specific date. Splash art is gorgeous already so I can't even imagine how much better could it be if they animated it and added music (I also think this splash fits perfectly to get animated). The mask should be a toggle. If they made it legendary then they could add some voice lines about the whole Blood Moon event, ritual etc. Riot please make it happen, please bring this skin to perfection ;-;

I would say that these changes could be touched up on before she hits live without making it a Legendary skin.

I think we would have more reason to have it delayed and released as a Legendary if you were requesting changes to her particles and / or abilities, and personally, I would say they already did an amazing job on those.

I can agree about the black part of her blade being a little strange, and there could stand to be some brightness adjustments on the red and white, but again, those could simply be retooled before she goes live without a delay and without hiking up the price.

I'm pretty much with you here...except...I'm struggling not to be let down by this skin. Don't get me wrong, I think they've done a great job, but I can't help the feeling that the idea was somehow better in my head.

I think the splash is fucking awesome, as well as the particles. My only real problems with the skin is the recall and her model. I think her recall is a little disappointing, especially when compared to the others. As far as the model goes, I don't know, it just seems to bright to me. It seems more like pink moon Diana than blood moon Diana.

So far I'm a little disappointed cause Diana should be the best one in the bunch, she is THE moon champion after all.

For now, I'll. Postpone my condemnation untill everything is finalized.

PS: Am I the only one noticing the bitchin job the splash art team have been doing? First warring kingdoms Vi, now this....

I agree with this so much my god. Id be willing to wait for an even better version of this skin even if it costs more. They should have done the same for infernal too :(. I mean both splash arts are amazing, but in game models have so much more potential.

ALSO it would be cool if they made her mask horns the same crystalline texture as her sword.

Edit: i agree with the big shoulder thing too, she aint jhin lol. But speaking of him, his Bloodmoon skin has a better shoulder decor, more flowy instead of a clump of fur, something like that for Diana?

I am completely fine with it. I don't play her either, but I think she deserves it.

As a side point, if you ever make an Archangel, arc light skin for Leona, that should be legendary too [slayer-jinx-wink]

I really believe it is the case that this skin would benefit so much more if it was upgraded to a legendary. Not because Diana would be the "leader" of such a group (if any hierarchy even existed like that) or because she is already moon themed but because she seems to be tuned to a certain degree of mysticism that the other skin bearers do not.

The only issue is it's not a "couple of patches." They'd have to take 7 or 8 months to make the legendary skin.

Eh. I think some of your edits are nice ideas, but let's not get crazy. This does not meet the standards for a legendary skin, and I'd rather they get working on one that did.

That splash is awesome. And it always will be. But I don't think it's worth legendary status, personally, sry.

"Postpone" = make it come out a year later. I don't think it needs to be legendary, it just needs to be released.

I have to agree. Making this Diana's legendary just feels right.

That said, it might be longer than "a few patches". Legendary skins have their own VO's, separate from the base. They'd have to rehire Diana's voice actor, and who knows how long that will take.

Still a good idea though.

I'm not convinced that she should "own" this skin line. Sorry. She's a less satisfactory candidate than virtually any previous bearer of the line(Yasuo, Kennen, Shen, Akali, etc. take your pick), and she only "fits" because she's a moon priestess of sorts. The only less fitting blood moon recipient, imo, is TF.

I'm just going to say this speculation, because it actually goes along with what you said about the skin really being Diana.

Y'know how in Diana's lore she was a normal, well, "normal" person who teamed up with a god and got two things: A sigil on her forehead, and moon powers. Well, just from the splash (and the recall), I get the vibe that this Diana is a person who made some sort of pact with a demon who takes the form of a mask. The pact resulted in two things: A sigil on her forehead, and demon powers whenever she's wearing the mask (or maybe when it's off too, this is all speculation). I came up with this theory without even thinking about it being Diana, which just goes to show how good the splash is; I really feel like it tells a story.

Yeah, you just seem excited enough to be interested in this random person's take on AU lore.

The biggest issue here is that Diana is not one of Riot's Cash-Cows (No offense Ali). So when they make a skin for her, they never give it it's full potential like they would a Katarina skin or an Ahri skin. The issue with loving a non-meta and not highly loved champion.
