Why was Worlds an excuse to drop the ball on the vast majority of non-professional players who appreciate League so much we'll throw money at it while still being kept waiting on content that has already been made? By tomorrow most of the people who have been excited about the legacy skins wont care about Halloween seeing as it will be over and just save their RP for another skin release or sale.

Is this real life? This is my first year playing the game and I don't even get spooky costumes during October. I have been looking forward to this the entire month of October. I also payed for RP to buy these legacy Halloween skins. This just really sucks, I am so sad right now. At least I now know that I'm not the only one who is saddened by the loss of the Halloween spirit.

Finally someone realizes they just blew it off, i wait all season for the harrowing...its icons, skins, wards and the fun of the holiday events. Now halloween will be over and i still havent gotten to enjoy the harrowing event like past seasons...i guess the non pro community who pays there employees and keeps there game afloat arent important. I made a post about the 2015 skins and event and got no response because all riot cares about is the LCS.

LCS is ruining this game slowly. It ruins champions by nerfing the ones that make "Big Plays" in LCS. They neglect any reasoning of the community. Now they're postponing and potentially removing holiday events.

So it's confirmed that harrowing will not happen this year but rather, to avoid the extra work, they have decided to release the new (and not promised the old) harrowing content with the upcoming patch instead. They used to theme out summoners rift and ingame icons and minions for this event. Now they push the entire event aside because of, what?, esports? They cant do both? I am sorely disappointed that there is no harrowing ON HALLOWEEN this year. I purchased $50 of RP a week ago specifically to buy Harrowing content. Now they have my money, so a boycott of the content isn't possible for me. Otherwise I would suggest that people boycott the content on it's release to show riot exactly how they dropped the ball this year.

So its November morning now and I dont think I could get any more disappointed. This was going to be my first Harrowing since I started season 5 and all my friends who played before me hyped it to high heaven. I purchased all that RP to get all the skins, bought Brand early and sit down for a whole week from the 24th to today and nothing. I've read all these threads and the PBE feedback on their 'changes' (excuse) and Riot... just... doesn't give a fuck..? I was thinking "Yeah, Worlds probably takes up a lot of time and staff may be just planning to center Harrowing on the actual Halloween and stretch it out for a week into November." But... no.Nothing.

The whole situation wouldn't be so bad if not for the MASSIVE amount of player base disappointment they're BLATANTLY ignoring on boards and Reddit. Like, in the PBE thing there's a post that politely questions them and it gets an answer immediately but the second shortly after the same person asks them to reconsider and explain a few things they ignore it and move on to answer something else. Like, I know I'm not exactly entitled to this, but I'd like to think they'd care a bit more about the player base as much as they did hyping Worlds. I mean, if you put it off to have more of an audience for worlds that would have been understandable, but don't bullshit us about 'mixing things up'. Harrowing is Runterra's Halloween in lore, you have the power to change it but don't mess it up this way.

TL:DR: Screw you Riot, you ruined my first Harrowing. Not that you care, I already bought the RP. (For the last time.) Amumu item 3070

I wish I was playing LoL from the start. I'm a big holiday nut, and I was hoping to play some League on a snowy Summoner's Rift sipping Hot Chocolate on Christmas, and play on a spooky one while wearing a pumpkin head on Halloween.

This was my first Harrowing. It sucked. The Arcade and Project skins had more of an event AND THEY'RE NOT EVEN EVENTS.

I'm getting really irritated with the people saying "Harrowing =/= Halloween" because no one gives a shit. Riot dug their own graves (heh) by associating the Harrowing with Halloween for 5 YEARS. What also really irritates me is the fact that they posted that Harrowing and Snowdown were going to be done differently this year ON THE PBE BOARDS. There was no actual announcement saying they were doing things differently. The skins suck, there's no featured game mode, we don't know if they'll bring back old Halloween skins, and on top of that they're probably not continuing the lore. Shadow and Fortune was amazing, I loved it. But that's not an acceptable substitute for an "event."

KateyKhaos on twitter had responded to someone asking about the Harrowing and she responded with the typical "we can't talk about it yet."

(Also, I saw someone in another thread talking about the spooky and snowy SR maps and how they'd never waste time on something temporary. Bilgewater ARAM map begs to differ.)

I'm disappointed about the skins but what really breaks my heart is no spooky map, no candy corn health pots, no spooky login, no spooky game mode. I looked forward to sending my champion of choice out into a new, shadowy, spooky Summoners Rift. Instead we get some fanfiction and Korea v. Korea lcs.

The awkward part about this whole Harrowing Shenanigans is that they didn't just... DO IT.

The Old Republic tried taking a similar High-road, Waaaayy back in 2011.

and they quickly realized: 'It doesn't matter if our universe exists far far away. There's an Aura, a stigma, a general Je ne sais quoi, about Holidays. If you put something there, people who haven't played in months will come back. if you do ANYTHING, people will show up to see it.'

So for two years after that, They added new, unique items that people could get and play with, only on Halloween.

Last year, they even re-enabled the Rakghoul even SPECIFICALLY for Halloween.

Riot really dropped the ball thinking that World's, something that only like... a handful of the community cares about (srsly. I couldn't care less about the top few playing matches that I'll never see in my regular life anyway.) trumps what they would've made had they just done something, anything for halloween.

Because now it's past. Anything that comes after it is just a cheap money-grab. People will notice. It's like trying to sell Halloween Candy full price after Halloween. Sure its the same Candy, But it's also explicitly Halloween themed, and that's past.

Riot really fauked up.

Screw LCS, This is a god forsaken holiday. WHERE ARE THE TREATS? WE GOT TRICKS, BUT NO TREATS.

Was One for All it? If so pretty depressing.. millions of players spend hard earned dollars only to have skins and champions. and what would happen if everyone suddenly stopped? POOF Bankrupt. Riot would make billions more per year if they released a game mode every 2-3 weeks. Instead every 2-3 patches.

Sad day for the real players.

It's not like they can't do both the worlds and the harrowing. I mean they could have made summoners rift in the world games all spooky looking. But nope...

Riot will probably announce the official event/sales and such tomorrow or Monday. So what if it's not right on Halloween? It's not forgotten. Plus, we already know that Slayer Jinx, Slayer Pantheon, and Zombie Nunu will be released as this year's Harrowing event Skins.
