just wondering whats the lore relation between taliyah and azir

Azir an ancient ascendant whose empire was built with slaves.

Then there's taliyah who's a shuriman commoner.

If anything, I'd guess that she just doesn't like Azir because she thinks that Azir will just enslave Shurima's people just like in the past, even if Azir abolished slavery before Shurima fell apart.

Taliyah is afraid Azir will enslave her family. With the betrayal of Xerath that might not be too far-fetched.

Azir may or may not make slavery legal again to rebuild his lost empire. Hopefully not.

Even if he wasn't going to, Taliyah doesn't know he won't. No one really know what happened that day other than the Ascended: and . Nasus and Renekton are maybes. They were off dealing with when the Sun Disc fell.
