How come the new Star Guardian pet icons don't use the Star Guardian mastery emote too?

I'm using the Shisa summoner icon, and my in-game mastery emote isn't Star Guardian-ified. Why dads, why is it only the free icon

My guess would be is because you don't actually earn the Magical Familiar Icons through the Invasion quests, they are apart of the bundles that you purchase via RP. If the Magical Familiar Icons showed the Star Guardian mastery, then there would be no need to equip the New Horizon Icon. It wouldn't make it ''special''.. (even though its really pretty.)

What I'M upset about is that the Star Guardian Masteries are only for the Star Guardian Event. I feel it would much more rewarding and I would definitely use the New Horizon Icon more if the Star Guardian Mastery was permanent. I really hope it doesnt go away, I hope is stays like the Star Gaurdian music did at the start of the game when equipping a Star Guardian Skin.

But that won't happen, not this time around at least. Sad day. [zombie-nunu-tears]

Real question is: how is it that I can't buy the Multi Icon if I don't buy the whole SG Syndra bundle? I already own SG Syndra and i don't want to waste almost 200RP on a crappy border.

I mean, those bundles are a scam. Not gonna give them a single RP for a border, just paying the skin and the icon eventually.
