Why is star guardian Ahri VO such a brat?

i mean i love ahri... (although i don't play her).

but why did you design her to be a brat? i mean i listed to her Voice over https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCt97vpQs_I

and it honestly making me want to buy the skin LESS.

i mean the kiko stuff is cute. but as someone who loves the lore behind skins. Ahri is acting like a total jerk. and despite the fact that i love the champion. i can't see myself using the skins if she is going to be a be a complete teenage brat.

im sure its WAY too late to change anything but... it a lot harder to convince yourself to buy a skin for someone if that skin make them act like a jerk.

i mean thats fine for noxcians... thier SUPPOSED to be jerks.

but the star guardian line is SUPPOSED to be good. right?

Because the generic "teen" stereotypes that have been forcibly inserted into every form of media since John Hughes directed Breakfast Club will never, ever go away.

EDIT: To be clear, I don't mean this to be insulting, it's just that the sheer saturation of "Snobby One" "Outcast One" "Jock One" "Smart One" "Rebellious One" is kinda stifling a lot of young adult media. And while I don't think that's the case for League, I think SG Ahri just kinda feels cut from that cloth. I don't know if this is a send-up to the source material, I'm not an anime person, that could always be the case.

Tbh Riot DOES changes VO from time to time (Lux VO got completely changed recently and it's only an exemple among many) So why not change Ahri too? There is SO MANY people complaining about that skin it's IMPOSSIBLE they wouldn't do anything (or else it show how they really don't care about what the players think) Like cmon not going to change all the skin but like. Deleting a good chunk of her lines would be a GREAT start. What kind of evil fox spirit says "Hastag" and "Amaze-balls" ?? Some quotes are funny but most of them destroy Ahri whole identity. I understand SG are an Alternate Universe but here it's not Alternate Universe Ahri. It's not Ahri at all. Like how come they decided to delete Sewn Chaos Blitz & Amumu yet are ready to put that huge Star Guardian mess on the live servers? Heck, Ahri is one of my mains and i own quite the collections of skins of her. And yet this Star Guardian one, despite being very pretty, feel so wrong in how they apprehended Ahri persona. It's like they don't even know their own characters.

i do have to admit though the first five of so in of her normal VO is epic.. its just the specific interations i don't really like.

either way i think my whole point is "moot" because i have decided to buy the skin... so w/e i hope its not 1820...

If every single SG skin (and the voice lines thusly attached) was completely sweet and innocent, the whole line would, imo, be quite frankly just a bunch of rainbow sparkles and cutesy. We already have an almost Overly altruistic team leader, do we need More of that? Besides, when you think about it, Ahri as a character is generally playful and manipulative- she knows what she has and she knows how to use it, this is simply interpreting it in the guise of a teenage schoolgirl who knows she is all that. To quote episode 8 of Hellsing Abridged: "She is sassy as fu**! Holy shit i like her!"

Edit: and before anyone says anything, yes i know we have Jinx- but that is just punky explosions and gratuitous violence, not a sassy brat Fox :P
