Then the Roleplaying Board might be exactly what you're looking for!

On the RP Board, we tell interactive stories and play as original characters, or even as some of your favorite champions, within the Runeterra Universe. We also have some roleplays set in some of Riot's "Skin Universes." Want to take part in an "Academy" or "PROJECT" roleplay? We've got those too. Not a fan of making your own character? No problem! We have a way that you can play one of League's many champions! Just check out which ones are currently available, and dive in.

I had an idea, though im not sure what everyone would think about it. as we all know, Riot has released a few stories, diving into the lives of some of our favorite champions. But, it is just a story. So i propose something quite controversial. Create a story mode for League. We can live moments beyond Summoners Rift, and really immersing ourselves into Runterra. In my opinion, it would solve the separation of lore and gameplay. Like i said, this is just an opinion, and it will probably get shot down, but it would be really cool to see something like this. I hope you read this Riot! Thank you for your time.

Just so we're clear, while I have have no issue at all with this kind of random fanfiction roleplaying stuff, I just don't want any Rioter getting the impression that it's a substitute for cannon lore.

Roleplaying is awesome! I love playing D&D! I have a group that meets up every week and I love it.I'm all for the Roleplaying boards.

As long as both the players and Riot realize that none of it is cannon and it doesn't count as lore.

As long as Riot never uses these boards as an excuse for not producing their own origonal lore content (like a certain Rioter actually tried to justify doing once) I'm totally in support of it.

Sorry if I'm coming across as too defensive, but I don't really know what kinda mindset Riot has towards this kinda stuff these days.

I hope these boards flourish though. The're important to the LoL community.

I don't really understand. How are we supposed to role play here? I mean I see people posting starters and such, and I've role played before, and do it quite often but I'm just confused how I can do it here, I'm eager to post a starter and someone respond but I'm a bit shy and embarrassed to.

I do have to ask, are the RP boards actually... well, actually alive? I just skimmed through it, but most of the threads don't seem to get past 1 or 2 pages, and they don't seem to be updated often either. Seems kinda like a ghost town... err, ghost boards? to be honest.

Honestly, with the exclusiveness and the feel that the roleplay boards moves slower than the old lore forumns, not really. I think the one thing that sets me off is not being able to rp as a summoner, and the exclusiveness of rping as a champ :/.
