i really liked this tragic version of varus that lost everything against noxus and feel really sad about it leaving league in favor of varus being now an ambient killer weapon...

I mean, was the old lore cool? Sure. But this is more fleshed out
all of his lines right now are so generic though... he just says some slightly dark or depressing shit or screams a few times.

My only hope for the sake of tragedy is that Val and Kai will slowly die inside of him and with the lore going on we witness their drifting.
I'm still really disappointed in them making a man who had a taste for revenge with dramatic irony into a cliche story of "spirits holding some ancient evil back"
inb4 his story was a cliche like Lucian. Varus felt guilt because HE left his post too late to save anyone. He was also the only person before Kayn who had an unique interaction of being half way through the darkinn transformation.
If I was asked if his new lore taught me anything is that...Diana is Taric's heartlight, and that Riot is desperate for attention. No offense, but I kind of feel like they just made him gay to get more people to play the game. [sg-janna] Its nice to know I'm not the only one mourning for the old splash art and lore.

You know. I’m pretty sure you can screw about with the program files to replace VOs. If you learn how you can probably just replace the new VO when it gets here. Quietly playing the way you want.
At least I’m hoping there’s a way. I’m planning to do that when my main gets updated.

Really? Was it confirmed that he's gonna get a new VO soon? I feel that characters like MF are being cheated on since they've been waiting longer for it.
And it'd be nice if they updated his in game model as well since he looks a bit different in his new splash.

Have they said when? Because they've updated several champs' lore drastically and then left the old voice lines in favor of giving Lux a near identical one lol.
With little bit of luck, they will focus Kassadin to replace that narrative. Not fully, but at least something.
