Which champion do you feel has the strongest potential for the most engaging/exciting story?

I really like Vayne and Shyvana for their story potential.

Vayne is basically Batman. She lost her family and is hellbent on vengeance and witchhunting. I'd really like to see storylines where she fights against 'black magicks' and shows her utter disgust of them. Then she kills them, coldly but efficiently Punisher-style. I want her to be a loner, with shitty social skills and awkwardness around people who are excessively friendly like Lux or outwardly flirty/social like Ahri.

I also like Shyvana because of the whole half-dragon background. She seems like a hurt being, one who lost her father and is now part of an adopted homeland that may or may not accept her completely. Just because JarvanIV signed off on it legally doesn't mean the citizens have accepted it in their hearts. They may mock and jeer her behind her back but she knows she has no where else to go and anywhere else would be worst as she wouldn't have a Prince's support. Maybe there could be a storyline about the dragon's rage she feels, her urge to burn things, how she hates the cold and must constantly stay warm or else she'll feel restless kind of like Killer Frost.

What champions do you feel have great story potential and you want to see?

Personally? Poppy's journey to discover herself or Sion's journey to remember what he once was.

Nami because she's in the running along with Ryze to effectively be League's main character as she has a good enough excuse (saving her people by finding the moonstone) to be involved in any storyline concievable.

Shyvana is great, yeah.

Garen x Katarina. OTP. Their respective callings and devotion to their cause give them strong motivation, they have reason to encounter each other on a regular basis (albeit usually adversarial) and there's been a ton of hints in the lore that these two are hot for each other.

Lux 's lore is that she's a commando/spy who uses her light magic for illusions. She's also Ezreal 's bae. If that's not potential for story, I dunno what is.

Ryze is basically the main character of Runeterra. He's absurdly powerful, on a quest to save the world and must distance himself from those around him. Speaking of Anime characters...

Yasuo is apparently willing to teach people as he travels searching for his elder's true killer. This opens up a lot of possibilities for interactions with other champions, as we saw with Taliyah .

Riven would also be a solid choice; she's still Noxian but can't go back to Noxus. I'm interested in seeing how she would interpret that, and how she'd react to having her past catch up with her (yeah you could argue that Riven didn't kill Yasuo's elder, but let's be honest, she probably did)

Darius 's style of political maneuvering would be interesting to watch. Especially if you got Swain involved. I'm very interested in how Darius' power grabs are being interpreted by the increasingly entrenched Noxian nobility (see Kled's lore) and the people as a whole.

Quinn 's background makes it possible for her to go pretty much anywhere in Runeterra, so long as Valor comes with her and they can send reports back to Demacia. She'll have a unique perspective on the various powers and factions across the land, and be an invaluable source of hard-to-find information. She already knows (assuming it wasn't retconned) that Lissandra has taken over the Frostguard and the Freljord is a massive powder keg, for example. She appears to have had a working knowledge of Talon's "style" even before she was placed under Jarvan's direct command, which suggests she has a lot of information on many of Demacia's enemies.

Karthus his lore is already good but his motives are meh. Besides his obsession with death there is no reason behind his actions, I would like to see his deeper point of view, his philosophical views (something like Viktor has in his story) because he is the most unique and self made Shadow Isles champion and least one dimensional. He opposes other Shadow Isles beings as he states that dead should not be tormented or be enslaved, he brings painless death to people as he wants to free them from the prison of flesh and let people "live" free not limited by their weak bodies (emotions and stuff) etc. He deserves more depth.

Kassadin once a man hungry for power now hero that wants to face impending doom that the Void brings. His current (outdated) lore gives some nice points that could be used in the future like kidnapping and sending his daughter to the Void by Malzahar, his rivalry with him and relation with ancient Icathia. His story could bring some heroic, apocalyptic thematics and some really emotional stuff concerning his daughter.

Shaco this guy has potential to be really awesome psychopath terrorist who kills stuff for giggles like the true Joker, bring terror and being hunted by every state/city state in Valoran. He could have also some steampunk/overall tinkerer thematics as he seems to build his weapons (Hallucinate clone and Jack in the Box). The only downside is that Jhin actually stole his thematics and they may be very similar.

Skarner revenge on Piltover and scientist hunting for killing his brethren. Imagine a gigantic crystal scorpion raiding a city because he wants to ensure his kind survives and have his revenge after long time.

Jax numerous journeys, hanging out with Gragas, brawls in taverns, fighting with lantern, being maybe as old as Ryze and beating Fiora to pieces also connections to Icathia. Maybe it isn't as serious, dark or deep story as others but it definitly is funny and interesting.

And the others need to have bigger tits than her and you basically get an anime

Maybe not the the most engaging/exciting story, but I would absolutely adore getting to see KogMaw waddling across Runeterra trying to figure out how physical reality works. From the little bit of lore we have on Kog, we know he isn't malicious the way some of the other Void critters are. He's insatiably curious and unfortunately the only way he knows of to aquatint himself with things is by eating them. It would make a good character arc for Kog to discover that there are ways other than nomming things to learn about them. And perhaps in that journey of self-discovery, Kog could find that he's hungry for new, better things.

Like friendship.

Basically your standard 'kid befriends weird monster' story-line. It could make for a solid inter-Void conflict when the Void incursion finally happens and Koggers puts up a futile effort to defend his new friends.

Really, though, of all the Void beasties Kog probably has the most potential for actual character development.

I find heroes shaped by their dark history to be the most fascinating as they often have the most story to tell, the black and white characters can be boring but your lighter and darker shades of grey always leave one guessing and looking deeper into the champion Lucian while his current story is going somewhere I'm very interested on the man he was before pain, before tragedy. What is his background, how did he come to be part of his order , when and how did he fall in love with senna. I'm sure Lucians past is as intriguing as his present and may give a clue into his future Camille She would give a nice story of the dark side of order as well as a the struggles of keeping ones humanity and the price of Duty.and as with Lucian the story of tragic love Shen although Shen is neutral character he is on the side of order regardless of race or nation. Seeing how he interacts with both physical and spirit world gives a somewhat youkai peace keeper that I see often in anime and it be curious to see his struggles with remaining neutral with the most trying circumstances

for darker characters I'd like Kled only because I just find him hilarious and his violent dendacies would add a bit spice in a story as well as some action TahmKench he is what I find interesting of grim tales and it would be morbidly fascinating to see all the different ways he tricks people into his deals

Now for those on the light side Ekko it like more of a story that you often see when one screws with time: time screws you back harder and hopefully a story that will lead to someone knocking that chip off his shoulder if he wants any hope of fixing Zaun Poppy just so that somebody can tell she's the hero cause as annoying as a character who thinks they're a hero when they're not is, a character who is the obvious hero blindly searching for the very person they are is just downright maddening

KogMaw just make it the oppisite of Alice in Wonderland where a beast who comes from a world with no rules or logic enters the world of Valoran and instead of going and eating everywhere he goes trough places learns things and then eats them. How cool would it be for KogMaw to Frejlord and accidently save an entire village by eating half an army of Trolls wich were going to eat the people in it. We can even allow for the lores to connect to each other by making that village the one where Ryze took the Runes they needed to protect themselves from the Trolls. Basically said make it feel like the Void creatures are going around Valoran and bringing chaos everyhwere. I personally never felt like anyone from the Void has been doing messing things up lately. Khazix is just going around doing a training montage until he can fight the evil bullycat Rengar in the karate tournament and get the girl of his dreamsRekSai . Chogath probably has a lore im not sure about that. RekSai got a 40 seconds anime animation where she kills 2 people (by the way with the way they changed Rammus lore why didnt he appear and save those 2 guys from RekSai ) KogMaw still has his old lore where he is still drawn to Malzahar. Screw that just make KogMaw an example of what happens when a "primitive" Void creature meets Valoran.

LeBlanc cuz we know practically nothing about her.

I think the Demacia vs Noxus conflict has the potential to be one of the biggest story arcs, by virtue of the sheer range of champion associated with each region. So many different motives and perspectives available for the writers to play with, and a lot of internal conflict in both nations. Unlike the stories of, say, the Shadow Isles or Shurima, there is no obvious happy ending, and I dig that.

Honourable mention goes to Irelia. She's an undead lich, and a martyr. Currently that isn't really a big part of her lore, but there's great potential for expansion.

Corki Come on, Riot! I want to know more about Corki as a younger ace pilot! Or even learn tales of how a Piltover Invasion was critically countered by an air squadron. Maybe the tales of the air squadron, Screaming Yipsnakes and where the rest of the pilots are ever since the disbandment. Perhaps tell the story of how the Screaming Yipsnakes manage to counter a Noxian Invasion due to Piltover being the only side to have an aerial advantage.

JarvanIV Since Jarvan is the prince, I want to know how he and the higher councils of Demacia are dealing with the fact that their country is declining due to not being able to endure the evolving world, especially with Piltover developing new technology almost everyday. Piltover would even develop their technology well enough to evolve their military to surpass Demacia's. Now remember, Demacia currently has the most powerful military in Valoran. But once the rest of the world changes completely, it's most likely they'll fall way behind and Piltover would jump far ahead of everyone else.

Pantheon is going to have interactions with leagues most powerful being Aurelion Sol and might as well even encounter the king of the void or other powerful void creatures such as Cho'gath and Rek'sai. Plus on top of that he is the only Aspect that truly has knowledge of Ancient Targon.

Morgana I like her lore a lot. It has potential and suspense, like who is going to win? Kayle or Morgana ? It's not just because Morgana is one of my favorite champions, but her lore is interesting. Will she get her revenge and take down Kayle or will she die trying? And I know that she has a lot of skins already, but I think her legendary/ultimate skin should be one of her where she takes her revenge and takes down Kayle and returns to her homeland and become an angel again. I think she would look really cool! <3

To be honest I want Chogath , I feel like once his updated bio comes out we're going to get a whole new glimpse of the void, I feel like the void aspect of the lore is a little outdated, can't wait to see Riot bring that purple hell to life.

Bard. Runeterra or Earth (if it is a planet) is boring. Bard has access to more than just the known places from LoL. In fact I bet you could create a whole story of Bard's travels. He has probably seen the most out of all the champions in League.
