I got like so freaking hyped to read about "vastaya and "lore" updated to animal like champs and shiftshifters.. and nidalee.. isn't even mentioned!!!!

Whyte Lyon1 votesYeah I'm annoyed the Narrative team/s still haven't even confirmed the little section at bottom right corner of the Medarda Hairloom map is without a doubt a jungle zone. The community already suspects that it's Kumungu, as the map contains some obvious hints. Plus Rengar's fanau (family) come from Shurima and just like Anakin I doubt they enjoy dry dessert sand very much, so they too have to be in the same wilderness. So why is the jungle and its name kept as a mystery?

... thats my entire point... was associated with no one else and she as put in the group... why wasn't Nidalee added to the group...
Magical Zoe1 votesMaybe because she looks completely human but can shapeshift? idk, looking at the other cast, they all have animal like qualities, except for Nidalee. She's human in one instance and then boom shes's a cat (bobcat? Tiger? Lynx?)

Vastayans who are shapeshifters are more human than Vastayan. That's why they can transform into a specific animal, but remain mostly human. Nidalee's parents were most likely two "humans" with some Vastayan ancestry they didn't know of.
Ahri HAD an entire tribe that just disappeared (kinda like the Lhotlan tribe Xayah belonged to). Nidalee doesn't have that. She ahd two parents that died, and she acquired her shapeshifting ability from the magic of the jungle.
GreenLore3 votesIts likely because Nidalee is a shapeshifter and not a Vastaya. When you look at the Vastaya family tree,you'll notice a small flower next to it that says "shapeshifter". This describes humans who have vastayan ancestors,which allows them to transform into a certain animalform.
However while these kind of champions are linked to the Vastaya,they are not Vastaya themselves and weren't part of the update because of it.
Xodiathe4bdn11 votesThey just started world building so there will of course be mysteries and left out bios so as to keep people guessing and rioters to have less limitations on who what where and why a champion is what they are where Nidalee comes from and how she came to be is but one of many champion mysteries riot is taking its time to find the right story for them.
So far the riot teams are updating each old region one at a time while also little bits of lore to other regions
Perhaps when the time is right, we'll see all new regions both expected and unexpected like kumungu
