Would it be too much to ask for champions to not have stories of how they took on an entire army of seasoned soldiers and not only survived the encounter but also triumphed?
Because the reality of the situation is...you try emulating that very bad assery in game and you just end up feeding while looking like an idiot.
Personally, I love the stories. It helps me get a new feeling of the character, makes them into more than just a video game character, it's a story. I love 'em, man.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's tired of almost everyone's little story thing being identical. Just because they're well written doesn't make it good, it's like the whole graphics and gameplay gameplay thing. No substance.
A fight between champions is not remotely similar to a fight between a champion and a army of mooks, the latter invokes Conservation of Ninjutsu trope. while the first is what we have on the rift. you have people who decimate armies fighting each other, not armies of mooks, of course it would be different
