Would it be too much to ask for champions to not have stories of how they took on an entire army of seasoned soldiers and not only survived the encounter but also triumphed?
Because the reality of the situation is...you try emulating that very bad assery in game and you just end up feeding while looking like an idiot.

GreenLore1 votesWell the feats do vary though. I mean Kled takes on a whole army,whereas Pantheon fights a bunch of mercenaries,meanwhile Aurelion blows up a mountain.
Whyte Lyon2 votesYeah but if you look at it from a lore point of view, the individual champs are the large cuts above literally every Average Joe in their entire world. So of course most can and do metaphorically just swoop blindly into fights and return triumphant.
All the champs ingame are meant to be the top dogs irregardles of their background, species or the champs concept. Even if that concept is to be the underdog, the fact that this hypothetical champ would be an ingame character means they have some kind of strength above most.
You can't give the most adept maths kids shit for consitantly getting the highest scores in the class. Or the best sports players on the team for making most of the goals.

Nobody11112 votesA fight between champions is not remotely similar to a fight between a champion and a army of mooks, the latter invokes Conservation of Ninjutsu trope. while the first is what we have on the rift. you have people who decimate armies fighting each other, not armies of mooks, of course it would be different
