Why is this ? Riot is a much bigger company than it was in 2014.

Maybe because it wasn't an original song? It was a well known song sung by a well k own band. Of course that's going to cause more hype.

Nicki Taylor did a wonderful job with worlds collide.

Zedd did a great job with ignite.

The difference is that these are original songs. They weee written by the artists specifically for league. It's hard to top an amazingly well known song by a known group who performed it live at the ceremony.

People's expectations are too high. Ignite and worlds collide are both great pieces of music. People are just too hung up on warriors.

Because you can't beat perfection. That song and the music video were pretty good representations of a league players fantasy.

I personally think it is due to the bar being set so high, and then not getting artists that can make similar types on music to that.

I have a feeling that riot prefers to pick artists who actually play the game over artists in general who can make the song but won't be as good as they have no feeling for it.
