Riot should release Traditional Trundle, Sejuani and Karma for everyone to buy

maybe then they can make the claim that "its not worth it because nobody plays with those skins"

You can buy Traditional Lee Sin in the store for 520. Why can't you buy the Traditional skins for Trundle/Sejuani/Karma?

Why didn't Sion get one even if it was just the visual change?

Hey there!

Traditional skins were originally a way of preserving what the champion was, acting as a sort of compensation for the owners of the champions who received VU's, but didn't like the changes to their identity. This was especially important in the case of Trundle, who received such a huge change to his identity, and became common practice for several champions afterwards. It had been decided around Heimerdinger's Visual Update that there was no benefit in creating Traditional skins, for the following reasons:

  1. The changes were not drastic enough to need a traditional skin (Examples: Maokai, Alistar, Garen, Master Yi, Nasus, Annie, Singed)

  2. A traditional skin would be a downgrade from the base skin (Examples: Heimerdinger, Twitch, Tristana, Sion)

As others have said, Traditional Lee Sin is available in the store because he was changed drastically, and the model already existed, Riot could do a quick turn-around and make a little money even after changing the Blind Monk. Traditional skins are benefits of sorts for owning the Champions before they were made better, acting as a sort of "tip of the cap" to the old ways, but more and more these skins aren't in high use. It's easy for people to look back on the champion and think, "Man, I wish I had that skin!" , but the truth of the matter is if that was the case, wouldn't you have bought the champion then? Any who, I hope this helps :)

I want Bikini Sejuani T^T. She looks so much better without all that armor on.

well i just want the traditional skin because i loved the old trundle lore. And then you guys changed him from being the most powerful re-generator and savoir of his tribe into this stupid carbon-copy king of the beasts ascension story where the smartest beast won. lets totally take this champs uniqueness and lump him in with some other champs that need some padding and relation for their own lore, and instead of being cursed and rotting hes just icy. i actually was gonna buy him then you guys made this change and was like 'that sir is some weak ass sauce," and didn't specifically 'cause you changed him. Still interested in him but only as he was, not is.

The point of traditional skins is that the players who played those champions were really attached to the original concept art before the huge changes. So they made the skins to compensate those players.

(Btw about traditional lee sin, that's not the same as the other skins, that traditional skin is not the same lines of the other ones, it's "traditional asian" and has nothing to do with that skin line)

Still wish they would've made a Sion one. The Sion rework was fine, it made sense if you're looking at it from the perspective of a design team, but he's a new champion, not really Sion. It'd be nice to have Arnie back.

My wife loves the look of Traditional Karma, but there's no way to get to now :(
