It feels bad when a champion that you like and own skins for gets a bit of a touch up or just their splash art, yet their skins old splash art remain unchanged and just not the best. (I'm looking at you Warrior Princess Sivir, Pharaoh & Maid Nidalee, Workshop Nunu ect.). I just feel like after all these years it's time to update these splash images.
I feel like riot could do a trade off: have the community create the splash are and whichever ones they use, they give credit to the artist in the upper right corner, linking to their dA account or listing their name or however the artist wants to be recognized. There are some really really good artists out there who make great concept splash arts all the time. So its really win-win. We get the splash arts, and the artist gets the recognition. And Riot can pick splashes that fit their artwork style, so it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. Win-win.
It's not gonna happen. Riot started to when they first started giving champions visual updates, but eventually stopped because they said giving a new splash art for every single old skin was taking away time and resources they couldn't spare for making artwork for new content.
Trundle's skins have been in dire need of an update ever since he became an Ice Troll.

Riot Girl Tristana and Lollipoppy give me nightmares.
They're not done updating the base splashes, and people complain about those enough. They will probably do more harm than good.
the old nidalee splash arts look like shit and do not look like what they look like in game. for example the maid one. 
SION. For the love of God, Buddha, and whoever else, SION. Update frigging Lumberjack Sion already...and maybe come out with an actual decent skin for him. Barbarian Sion and Warmonger Sion both look terrible.
They're doing it now :) 5 skins: Vandal Brand, Assassin Master Yi, Chosen Master Yi, Frosted Ezreal, and Jade Dragon Wukong just got updated splash arts!!!

LOL. They updated Snow Bunny Nid at least. And switched that god awful Red Riding Annie splash to the Chinese one. I believe they are working on it, but it takes time and lots of workshops to get somewhere with this stuff within a company as big as Riot
I personally love the old splash arts like the old shyvana or riven in the sand storm splash

I agree 100%. Spirit Guard Udyr model is amazing, but classic Udyr's new splash has it outclassed. It's ridiculous the amount of quality they've started putting into the new splashes. Even the highest quality skins from a year ago look like trash in comparison.

I feel like it's somewhere down the line. I mean, they're pretty obvious eye-sores, but I'm sure they're such low priority they wouldn't get to updating them for years or something. Besides that, though, I seriously understand your want for better skin splashes. I shudder to think of some of them.
