Zoe's Parents

So, after my Little Post about Zoe, I had a thought. While in most cases, the absence of parents from a league character's bio is kind of understandable (most of them are adults, or simply don't have parents in any sense of the world), in Zoe's it just stands outs. If you think about it hard enough, a horrifying picture is painted. Know, before I start, remember that I haven't found her Q&A, if she even had one, so if any of my questions were answered there, please, let me know.

So, while i think Zoe is pretty messed up, i couldn't help but wonder about her parents, and how they thought about the lose of their daughter. While the People of Targon are aware of their "gods" and worship them, and are aware of the fact they can inhabit human bodies, if you think about it there's nothing in her lore to give us the impression her teachers could tell it was the actions of the Aspect. It happened in, what her bio's wording implies, very quickly, so I'm not sure any mortal knew what had just occurred.

I wonder what the teachers told her parents?

In any case, The Aspects recruited a child to fight a war. A war that, given the nature of the Void, will never end. I mean, the Aspects in general don't seen to see people as people, If it exists, regardless of it's role, it is a tool to be use. Sure, Zoe seems to primarily be a gofer for the goals of the Aspects, but given the sheer destructive power means that she has been to places were the void has been set loose.

Zoe also didn't have much of a choice, nor was the aspect entirely honest with her. Yes, the Aspect told her she would see the universe, but the price for that was to be separated from her family, homeworld, and even time. Know, I don't blame Zoe for not thinking about it at the time, but the thought seems to have not weighed her down. It's partly the cause for my theory that the Twilight Aspect basically keeps 'bad' thoughts out of Zoe's head. After all, if she starts thinking about the horrors she sees, the consequences of her actions, or thinks to hard about what truly happened to her, she might lose some sort of connection to her aspect. That's pure speculation though.

In any case, the fact that she lacks an understanding of what the aspect truly meant is odd. It made me realize that none of the Hosts truly had a choice. They Climbed up the mountain, sure, but without the Aspects help, would they have truly made their way down? Read their lore's again, and keep that in mind.

In any Case, i have also posted a theory about Targon as a whole; basically the Lunari and Solari were set up by the Aspects to give them an eager supply of hosts and cannon fodder. In fact, I can't help but to think that the whole of Targon's societies are tailor made to give them warriors and bodies. It's an interesting theory, but I am not sure if it is true. It would certainly fits the Aspects' characters' though.

And Lastly, I want to give you a few things to think about; What does it say about the Aspects that they use a child as a tool? what if this happened to one of your family memebers? Your own child, younger sibling, ect. If some powerful force just took them away, how would you react.

While Zoe's Parents may have never gotten any sort of closure, maybe the line of thought they sparked in me would make an interesting discussion topic. I hope you enjoyed reading this, and please share your thoughts on this topic.
