I like the update otherwise, and that Armor of the Fifth Age splash is the best, but I really want to know why this change was made. It's not like his shield is vitally important to him or anything; it's just a weird change for no real benefit that I can see.
Taric doesn't have "the shield of valoran", he is the shield. Having no shield for himself shows his sacrifice of using himself to protect others.
And all his abilities are now star or celestial based...
Well how else is he gonna cast spells without a free hand? He doesn't have the war caster feat I imagine.
But in all seriousness, he doesn't need a shield because he is the shield.
