Is it possible that we could have a 'Meet the X' series like Team Fortress 2?

Maybe whenever a new champion is released, there could be two videos. One would be the Champion Spotlight showcasing the abilities while the other would be more lore-focused with a strong emphasis on personality.

I want to be clear, I want this to be focused on the champion's personality and character and not like a Kalista cinematic or Rek'Sai animation where you barely got to see much of their personality at all. I want to see what Kalista does in her free time. Does she sip coffee at thee Demacia-bucks? Does Rek'Sai go to the Zaun'Co to buy meat in bulk for her young? What's Prince Jarvan IV's tax policy? It can be like a documentary or maybe an interview.

And it can be more comedic and light hearted which I feel is sorely needed since a lot of the lore feels too serious.

I miss the humor.

One should do this with factions. Aka "Meet the demacians"- of course this video would be a little bit longer than a single character one, but like this we would also get to see the interactions between the characters.

I really love this idea. I remember one of my famous lore quotes was in Fiora's bio where Jarvan says "Fiora's personality would be insufferable, if it wasn't so... justified."

Or-or-or Quinn's jokes about her fellow Demacians.

It's not thing to tell us X is Friends with Y on the Champion page but it's a totally different thing to show it.

I totally would love to see a Meet the Faction(s) series by Riot.

I wouldn't even mind if they made it in a cartoonish animation since it's more focused on interaction, dialogue and personality instead of effects or awesomeness. (although it would be awesome in its own way)

There are many possibilities for this xD Shyvanna be rude to Quinn because she thinks she wants to get her "beloved prince", Garen trying to sound tough but being bossed around by his little sister (since he's actually a nice guy who can't say no when it comes to everyday stuff)...

Or how about a "Meet-the Noxians"? How does a normal day with the assassin family look like (Cass, Kat and Talon - they ARE silblings after all xD Ok talon is adopted but who cares). Vladimir and Cassio as aristocrats trying to out-sass each other. Darius constantly facepalming because of his retarded little bro (DRAVEN!). Also Draven should get an extra videa where he only talks about himself and how everybody else in Noxus sucks xD

Darius sits in his office. His massive shoulder pauldrons jutting out ferociously. His armor jagged and brutal. His massive gauntleted arms pluck a stack of unfinished paperwork from the pile.

Darius puts on his tiny, circular, reading glasses.

"Let's see here... Request for more brutal axes? I sure do love axes... Approved. Now where's that order form for Noxian skintight suit prototypes..."

THEN THE DOOR BURSTS OPEN.

"BRO! IT'S DRAAAAAVEN TIME!"

"Do to the amusement park yourself Draven."

"B-But... Onii-channn..."

Darius sighs. Takes off his classes. Puts on his fedora and overcoat.

"Let's go."

"YAY!"

Let me correct that: Darius, as you wrote it, going over paper work for the military. Draven bursts in.

"HEY THERE IT'S DRAVEN!"

"Get out, i have to work"

"HA; NO WORK CAN BE MORE IMPORTANT THAT THE GLORIOUS DRAVEN!"

And so on, Draven annoying him to the maximum until Darius snaps and kicks him out ^^

Totally agree with this and the second post by Kyoki.

Would love it if Riot made some video series about the factions. They already do it with the Shadow Isles in Holloween and recently the Ascended mode where they showed the story of Sivir and how she resurrected Azir.

Basically, are we asking for an animated Journals of Justice? Because if so, I agree. If nothing else, a video detailing relationships between champions. That way, you learn a bit about a few champions at once. Like what do Lux and Garen do in their free time? Or Darius and Draven? Xin Zhao and Alistar are friends, do they ever spend time together? Things like that.

Hmmmm the possibilites are endless for this. Imagine a scene where Tryndramere and Gragas get horribly drunk and Ashe has to take care of these two morons. MEANWHILE in the Winter's Claw camp: Sejuani and Olaf deadly drunk and poor udyr trying to keep things under control (he's a monk he doesn't drink ^^)

Ok Riot won't do this because.... well, they even removed Graves Cigar no?

Or how about Master Yi training Wukong? At first Wukong is all " yo that's easy". Cut. Wukong completly dead after five hours of training and Yi's like "LoL noob"

Or how do Void Creatures get along? I can imagine Vel'koz getting angry at Kog'Maw for eating the stuff he wanted to analyze... Cho'Gath trying to court Rek'Sai all gentleman style.

Hrmm now that I think about it more and more stuff comes to mind ^^

If they did this and did comics similar to TF2 it would go a bazillion miles in making the world dynamic and alive.

ANY material on Runterra at this point would be appreciated in clarifying what is canon and not canon.

They don't even need to make material about the champions, but about the world.

Or it doesn't even have tp be comics. How about some images that look just like a Piltover Newspaper? And in comparision the same events in a Newspaper in Noxus or Zaun (if there ARE media like newspapers that is...)

Or how about stuff the inhabitants of runeterrta read? What is the number one novel in demacia? Or in Noxus? Does Piltover has comics for a younger audience? (Think of stuff like "hextech-man" or whatver xD). What topics are promarely dealt with in cultural products? Are there famous songs? How does a concert or a theater performance look like?

There's so much they could create without even coming close to naming a single champion but still giving thje world depth and authencity.

Well... if you define "lore" as simple story, then no it isn't.

If you define "Lore" to be within the concept of world building, it is. And that's exactly what Riot is trying to do, They're not trying to tell a story. Or multiple stories. They're trying to create an authentic and living world... and for that you need authentic characters. You need people to inhabit that world - and you need especially those who are key figures in this world - because that's what most champions are.

Exactly. Static champions do not make a living world. If there isn't anything dynamic then how can it we a real world. Its almost as if the world of League of Legends never changes. There aren't any wars, no repercussions to events like when Vel'Koz nearly disintegrated Helmet Bro, or when Rek'Sai ate those archeologist/treasure thiefs. Sion's resurrection wasn't even felt.

There is hardly any interaction with other champions, even the ones labeled allies or enemies in champion pages. Azir and Nasus, don't seem to mind Rek'Sai destroying Shuriman temples.

It would probably take forever for Riot to do that for every single champion since there are more than 100 champions. And i prefer them to tell players more about the story of the League of legend' world like demacia, Noxus, Ionia, Piltover, Void, etc. Telling us more is about what's happening and the relation between champions. I think it'd be cooler to do the five basic meta roles instead of every single champion. Like, you could have a few representatives from each role (or perhaps do 10 total with five on each side of the map) but that would be cool.

You don't need to do every champion, just pick a couple at random, the ones with the more obscure stories. They really do help flesh out a character. The interview format used in the earlier videos (Meet the Heavy/Engineer) are also pretty simple to do.
