How Ahri's Splash Art Should Look Like~

Nooooo, why do this to my Gumiho ;-: I believe that the new splash art could have been made A LOT better than what they have planned. Something seems off to me about her face, it doesn't seem like her at all & it's a little weird. It's TOO changed. I mean yes, it's quite pretty in its own way and has more quality over the original but it just doesn't feel like the elegant, yet seductive at the same time, Ahri that I came to love. Her fox-like attributes have been made more subtle and does not even have that much beauty & detail in the dress that it had before. I know I'm going to miss the bell hanging from her dress, even little things like this </3 The atmosphere seems a lot darker as well & I just don't think that it's suiting for a cunning agile fox lady :D

Okay so hmmm, Ahri is one of my favorite Champions and WAS, imo the most beautiful, now I'm not so sure as of the new splash ;-: I think that the concept art of Ahri from the Cinematic: New Dawn was absolutely gorgeous! The dress, tails, face, and hair are perfect for Ahri. It not only kept the fox-like original feel of Ahri but they added so much more beautiful features and I wouldn't mind this art change from it at all. I love it <3 The new splash now is just lacking & please, I know rito, you can do 10x better on this foxy girl! There are better possibilities. The only problem I see with your suggestion of using the concept look is a bunch of people raving about sexuallization and how she's unrealistically skinny and all the nitpicky things because humans will be humans and they love to draw comparisons to things that aren't actually there.

Anyways, I would like that media concept to be used because it gives her a slender and agile frame that appears to be somewhat non-human. I like it.

Ehh. I would prefer the New Dawn version over the current PBE splash if I had to choose between the two...but I despise what they did to her in that cinematic. The most common outcry I'm seeing from both these boards and the PBE boards is that we want her to look like she does in her original splash.

Bump. So far it seems like 35 people out of 51 rather have a different splash than this new one. Bring back Oriental Ahri! :3

Okay so here's what I think. Old Ahri = Decent Cinematic Ahri = Trash New Ahri = Doable

(and as to the darker atmosphere not being suiting for a cunning fox... isn't that the point? she charms them and takes their soul?)

One of my favorite parts about the old Ahri is that if you look at her proportions, she doesn't look like she's going to shatter. She's slender but not stick-thin and comical (like the Ahri in the cinematic). The cinematic ahri is too thin, her dress is shorter (but not even sexier?) and her head is way too large. She went from seductress to teenaged prostitute in two steps. I'd be fine with her being thin, if she was a character who made sense to be thin. Like, a thin Lux or a thin Soraka? Fine. No problem, it matches. But Ahri? She was always drawn thicker, so to take that away makes me a bit sad.

The new Ahri is a lot prettier. Her face is gorgeously detailed, her eyes are looking at you, etc. It is, frankly, better art. And the texture on the tails makes sense (have you ever seen a fox's tail?). If they added a touch of color to the inside of her ears so they weren't solid black, or even made her ears white ("why white?" because her tails are white and it makes more sense to me), that'd fix the "invisibility" thing. The lines on her face just need to be a bit darker, and then they can add the bell- bam. A better Ahri.

I actually really liked the New Dawn Ahri (with gold eyes though, not blue), but on the other hand I like her original, more mature oriental look as well. The new splash art in my opinion just was not Ahri but more a western girl cosplaying as her, it looks wrong to me. :/

I don't mind the splash, it is very pretty in it's own way, but the portrait is so wrong... and I get it's because they just copy pasted her face... but that didn't work, nor did it work for wukong or janna.
