Cho'gath's voice rework is going to hurt.

I'm going to be really sad when they get around to redoing Cho'gath's voice. While it'll be good to have more lines, I think he's got a pretty strong VO right now.

More importantly, I think Cho'gath depends on the dialogue with a Summoner more than perhaps any other Champion. His VO is a lot of fun because he's taunting you and seething at you the entire time.

"You have stains upon your soul. … perfect!" "No, I do not live under a bed! FOOL!" "Summoner, your darkness beckons." "Afraid of the dark? Wise!" "Death is not the end to you, I have seen to it. For eternity, YOU ARE MINE!"

I really like the setup of you summoning this terrifying Void monster to the Fields, but starting to be corrupted by him as you exploit his power to win whatever dispute or political battle you're engaged in.

Sure, they'll probably find a way to keep him menacing in his new VO, but I like that subtler, creepier dynamic of him slowly corrupting his ostensible "captors".

I personally disagree that his VO is strong, it doesn't really seem all that great to me. I really dig Cho, and I dig a few of his lines, but the taunting in his VO always seemed little more than taunting. That's fine, and I won't take that away from him, in fact I feel like that should be embraced when it's his time for an upgrade, but right now it's not that good to me.

On the topic of what they'll do with him VO wise, I kinda want them to go the Smaug route, this coming from a guy who only recently watched the second Hobbit film and didn't read the Hobbit. A sinister, intelligent and unspeakably powerful being that delights in just how frail the mortals around him are. I feel like from the outset that also makes for a cool dychotomy between his appearance, or rather what his appearance will be, and what his personality is like. Imagine running from Cho'Gath, hiding in a corner, and then he whispers in a thunderous, but calm and sinister tone "Now now, don't be shy, come closer, let me see the fear in your eyes." That's just me, I dunno, think that'd be kinda cool though!

The lines themselves are really good (and much more threatening than what other monstrous champions say), but Cho'Gath suffers Dark Knight Syndrome. His lines are rather gruff and hard to understand and need to be tuned down a bit so you can hear what he's saying better.

That being said, I really hope that they keep his genuinely evil and patient outlook. I've always had this feeling about Cho'Gath, that he's happy to pretend to play along, slowly corrupting everyone as he does so, until he can break free and reign chaos over everything.

as threats to me the summoner/player,but rahter as threats to the enemies.

I agree with Sharjo that giving him a similar personality as smaug would actually fit him very well,Cho'gath always struck me as the most malicious void monster,since the others are pretty clearly driven by their instincts.

A shame, I really like his current voice. One of the most, if not the most malicious and terrifying of them all currently. Which is perfect.

Man Cho'Gath has literally the best lines out of all the champions and that's not the nostalgic talking. What other champion gives off this vile monster that at first glance you assume hes just that a monster but listening to him you would hear a intelligent creature with a bigger goal in mine. The first time I picked him up I was confused on who he was talking to, me? The enemy team? The person im going against? An when i learned he was talking to me i was quite literally like, " Uh....no plz." Man this leviathan im going to miss him, but we always have Gentlemen Cho'Gath.

Personally what I'm hoping for from Cho'gath's VO is more spite, anger, and hunger. Sure he's like Smaug but he's more feral than the Dragon and it should show. "You are such, hideous creatures," does not have that 'I delight in how I compare to mortals' feel Smaug gives off. Cho'gath has more a 'I'm superior to you and will squash you like an insect' vibe which I enjoy.

The League is kill, lore-wise, so technically, summoners don't exist? or what? the lore is fucked, maybe hes just being super weird and talking to himself in the second person, not really taunting anyone. But I agree, a VO shouldn't be done because he's already very charming in his current state. It's a waste of resources when a lot of other champions sound outright stupid.
