Shen Theme for rework Concern.

I have a bit of fear concerning the rework of my favourite champion shen. Now I am not doubting riot's talent in reworking Shen i'm just afraid they will make a miss on Shen's theme and portray it wrong.

Shen's designer, Guinsoo. Is one of my favourite designers because of the iconic champions he makes like and my boy shen. I believe there is a lot of thought, research and moral behind his champions and believe that those should be traits of emphasis when reworking shen.

For example, Jaerdan mentioned having more character after his rework and before it, he was just plain old "pirate guy". I would like Shen have awesome character himself that doesn't stray to far off his theme, and a few VO lines alone won't grasp that.

I believe there reason's behind some of the things guinsoo picked for shen:

Why is his name Shen? Why does his passive name Ki Strike? Why does he use energy instead of mana? Why is he doing Tai Chi in his dance emote? Why is he a tanky njnja that scales with health? Why was he entrusted with upholding balance?

Can you see the theme Guinsoo was going for yet or do I have to go on?

I'm not saying this because I think my champion is better than anyone else's... It's just, the appeal, theme and gameplay seems like a tresure chest locked within him. For a champ with so much potential, I just hope Riot doesn't go lazy with him because I love this game, love this community and love (which in the first place was the main reason I came to these boards... Since S4).
