Shadow Isles and Death, Why Morde's title feels wrong and More (Making everyone happy, kinda)

Morde's title has been changed again into "The Iron Revenant" There ya happy? good!

Now can we deal with the fact Riot announced no more Harrowing events on Halloween?

I know I know "It just means we can get it anytime" it also means we may NEVER get it, we no longer have the guarantee of getting something at least once a year

"I prefer they focus on other parts of the world" why can't we have both? why can't the mist be used to show how people in different places react to the mist? they showed how Bilgewater react to it, how bout showing how Demacia deals?

Besides... do you really want to celebrate halloween on July or something? Does tradition mean nothing to you?

Here's the thing man...

Harrowing =/= Halloween. Since last year when they released "First Light After the Harrowing" it's been pretty evident this was the case.

I'm pretty sure there's a release paired with it that isn't quite ready yet.

The thing is that having an annual harrowing event has its drawbacks too. Mainly it drains the resources of the lore team, they'd have to come up with a new harrowing story every year, which would turn the shadow isles pretty fast into the city state with the most lore and use up a lot of resources that they could have used to flesh out other city states,or solve some other problems of the lore.

Another problem is that having the harrowing tied to halloween would imply that the time in runeterra passes in the same speed as it does in the real world, which would bring up the question why champs don't age(especially those like Annie ),or why certain story progressions don't occur even when they should within that timeframe(how would the rise of shurima be ignored by other nations for several years?)

I'm of two minds about this. On one hand, I loved it when RL events like Halloween lined up with in-game events. You're already getting ready for spookiness in October, so why not have a spooky lore event in League of Legends to get you in the mood? On top of that, having a Snowdown or Harrowing event in July would feel weird. I also enjoyed having a Harrowing event every year because it was the closest thing we had to consistent lore updates. The rest of the community, myself included, fully expected a story this month that played off of last year's Harrowing because we'd gotten one almost every year.

On the other hand though, it does constrain what the lore team can and can't do. Having to spend a decent chunk of their time every year for the Harrowing would prevent them from working on other lore events (Demacia event where?) and therefore the Shadow Isles would be overrepresented.

I'm not sure there's a good solution to this problem. Maybe doing a quick "check in" with the Shadow Isles/Black Mists in October, instead of a full-on event? That way we still get spookiness around Halloween, but Riot doesn't have to worry about throwing the kitchen sink at it. A full Harrowing event could happen at other times in the year then,
