Can we stop having champs launch with a 1350 skin?

It's kind of irritating having to choose between 'no skin' and 'expensive skin', especially since 1350 skins no longer go on sale. I'm still salty about the change to only have one launch skin; I'm getting really annoyed that half of the champs released in the past year or so have 1350 launch skins, especially since half of those champs don't have an alternative skin to choose if you think 1350 is too high a price. I feel really bad for people that get into Rek'Sai nowadays; two skins to choose from, both 1350. (Same, incidentally, with Vel'Koz.)

You could always ... I don't know, not buy them. Its not like it'll affect your gameplay experience.

To be fair, the launch skins are incredibly well made. MC Tahm is genius, and cowboy Jhin is bad ass (and a throwback to his original design)

Honestly I am ok with them having only one launch skin. The quality of the launch skins greatly increased ever since they started to do tha and I'm not only referring to them making more expensive skins for launch skins.

um...I just bought eternum rek'sai for like 675 rp, so I'm kind of confused about 1350 skins supposedly not going on sale...

If you don't like the price, don't buy it. Simple. Vote with your wallet. I for one like Jhin's release skin and would love to have it but it would make my poor Canadian wallet cry.

10 dollars is expensive? Also even with 975 skins you still have to buy the 10$ card, so doesn't really matter.

I consider 1350 skins nice, but I also consider 750 skins a waste of money (I don't like paying for just model changes). Particle changes are how you get me to buy. I don't really care about the price of a skin as long as the final product looks good to me.

Besides, my family used to always say 'what's the point in working and earning money if you never spend it?'

The irony here is that the OP picked two champs with really awesome skins.

Jihn doesn't appeal to me, but the cowboy skin looks far better than the default, which is the real problem.

As always, skins don't affect the game, so whining over prices really doesn't matter.

Talk to Ezreal. He has, what, 8 skins at the dirt cheap price point (some of those being in the "we don't make dirt this cheap and more" point, and one of the highest priced skins in the game. No middle ground feels bad

In the Jhin Q&A,they actually named a reason why 1350 skins are even more likely to be the launch skins.

High noon jhin has a few new lines,which is definetly something rare for a non-legendary skin(the only others are Mecha-Kha'zix,BC-Vel'koz,zombie nunu and i think radiant wukong,but the last one might be a bug,I dunno) So making a skin with extra lines a 1350 is the logical decision here.

However the reason why this will largely remain launch-skin exclusive: They can record those extra lines together with the regular lines if its the launch skin. If they don't do that then they'll need to hire the VA again and that would cost too much just for a few extra lines. Meaning the launch skin is pretty much their only chance(another one would be if they update the VO of a champ) to do something like this while avoiding lots of extra costs.
