Would he die? Would he overcharge petricite buildings? Or nothing would change thanks to sarcophagus?

Extra question, what would happen to both Galio and Xerath if they ever met?

Xerath is a amalgamation of unstable arcane energy.

Hes basically a walking nuke. Xeraths death would mean a Shurima 2.0 happening again and everybody/everything getting glassed.

I remember during a Shurima AMA (Don't remember which one), that Renekton and Nasus actually helped Xerath by putting him in a sarcophagus because it kept him from exploding since he was so unstable.

I'd imagine petricite would also help the containment a bit.

Is there an amount of concentrated magic that is TOO much for the antimagic that would cause the antimagic stones to explode instead?

It really depends if you want to draw petricite (and other anti-magic substances like negatron) into having finite 'magic cancellation' limits. For the sake of reasonable presentation, I'd imagine super powerful magic entities like Xerath, Nasus, Renekton, Syndra, etc, to be ... I suppose 'dampened', but not meaningfully inhibited. Like fighting a high MR champion before you finished Morello's, or Sorc's+Haunting Guise, if you would. With a bit of effort and time they'll overcome it.

Consider also that Shyvana, a largely magical creature, lives in Demacia without completely killing over from magic negation.

The main advantage of petricite Demacia is basically it provides a strong shield against 'general' mages and low level magic users. Your token level 1-5 Wizard/Sorcerer/Warlock isn't going to do much, but a level 15-20 is going to go 'lolwut?'. The inbetween may struggle or not.

If It doesn't kill them, then what happens to petricite? Petricite absorbs the magic. We can see that in Flesh and Stone. Lux's magic made Galio heat up, even though It was not enough to harm him. So, question is, what would happen to Galio if magic source is absurd? Would he get melted?

Author's discretion. You could make small deposits of petricite meltdown/explode when overloaded with magic. Or, have them function as crude thermal converters, and after a certain threshold, they have to dump heat before they can absorb any more magic. I suspect the latter, or else Demacia would have to continually replace petricite in their walls/fortifications if placed under heavy magical strain.

Xerath is probably far too powerful for petricite to kill him, but it would probably weaken him a bit.

All the anti magic doesn't really seem to hold Lux back so I'm guessing mages on equal or greater power could do some real damage in Demacia like Xerath or Syndra or Lissandra
