No one should deny "As Well Fall" is a masterpiece.

This video is pure art.

I can't deny or ignore how beautiful scene is when Valmar and Kai start to shatter both physically and mentally.

You see Valmar's head being shattered, and how in his mind he is fighting with Noxians because he sees them responsible of Kai's death. Then with his eyes (which he is directly in front of him) he sees Kai getting shattered. And while Valmar is in action, seeks for vengeance, Kai is in peace, closing his eyes before the moment, not wishing for any revenge. Just an ordinary hunter.

2 lovers being shattered and getting destroyed together, having different opinions about the case and still getting connected what matters. They still reach other and hold hands.

This is completely related with lore as Kai is moral brake and Valmar is in anger with hatred.

This is a scene with deep meaning. It is a masterpiece and I like how it is handled.

I also like how most of old Varus lore fans agree on new lore is good but wish it was on new champion as they also liked old Varus lore too. Most of people unhappy about removing Varus we know, not because new Varus is shit. This is somewhat success for the lore, but it still needs fix by Riot. I thought giving Darkin wife and kid to Varus and they being killed by human mages would kinda connect old and new lore.

I still wonder why people say that they removed Varus entirely, they just changed his species from human to darkin and upped his tragedy from "lost wife and son" to "lost whole species, including family, only his sister remains" and that last part its unknown yet, as she could also be dead.

Well new Varus decided to be one of the first one to travel to another world in order to stop the influence that one had on his world, and so they began a war, but that's also why he lost everything, should have they stayed on their planet, they all would be alive, not only the massacre brothers (Aatrox Kayn ), the hunter brother and sister (Varus and his sister) and the last misterious one. The man who decided to go to the battlefield lost it all, so that's mostly kept, only a bit different

Varus as the human before the transformation. He was the only husband and father figure in League and also his tragedy was final while the hunters are still both there and not even Val's family has been killed. Varus Darkin tragedy is well made and such, I just don't like the premise of the 2 hunters and the fact that they can suppress Varus.

Husband is Tryndamere , Kassadin is probably both, but we still haven't heard about his wife, just that he sacrificed all to save her, getting himself corrupted by the dark power of a dimension full of ravenous abominations. Yes Kassadin let everything go, and he went into the Void, possibly knowing about what was inside, and knowing well that he would die 99% sure, although it seems he managed to escape alive, just completelly mutated, and even needing machinery to breathe (or so it seems, he is a bit outdated), so its quite probable that Kass won't live much more after being mutated so badly.

They are 2 hunters because if they were just 1, it would be the Kayn/Rhaast situation, not only because it would be a strife between Man and Darkin that one or the other would win over time, ,but because its hard to believe that a normal man would be able to resist the corrupting influence of a Darkin (Kayn gets to do it not only because he is a genius, but because of his martial training, discipline and shadow powers, that is mostly spirit magic, what you need to keep at bay a soul eating demon), but a normal man would become something like Rhaast or Aatrox in seconds, like would have been Val's destiny if it wasn't for Kai.

Riot needed to get a good excuse to keep a man from being devoured and becoming full Darkin, and what other is there, different enough from Kayn's that the all mighty power of love? But they coudn't be man and woman, or people would complain that Varus is hermaphrodite now, it had to be 2 people of the same sex so the fusion doesn't allow those kind of coments, and considering Varus is a man, it was clear what they had to do.

Its true that Val and Kai aren't that well fleshed out, but there is no need for that, as what they did or were doing before this doesn't matter, the champion is called Varus, not Kai or Val, they as parts don't matter anymore, just the result matters for us, players, and so, only Varus' tragedy deserved to be told, although they gave us a bit of the tragedy that surrounded both lovers too, as they will live the rest of their lives sharing their body with a demonic entity that will make them kill people and create imbalance, what they have been taught to never ever do since they were children

I was writing in my mind "As We Fall". I clearly remember. I don't know how it happened. Probably Fa"ll" confused me somehow.

I would demand from a moderator to edit it, if they ever see.

I am a big defender of the point of view that it was wrong, to give this lore to Varus and they should have just built on the previous one.

Yes I do not like that they did change his lore, it would be better on a new champion BUT BUT BUT

The new lore is good, the music video is a great and especially the artstyle of the comic is just soo beautiful.

Whatever happens next I would love to see the two men overcome their darkin with great trust and love to each other. Also it would be cool if Riot create them real characters something similar to Xayah/Rakan but instead Kai/Valmar. I would be Kai main then xd
