I lol'ed. I feel that way sometimes too.

Speaking generally, I'm sad that some Games do well because they lose or change focus to keep the game going, from their perspective.

For example, the sound track from Halo. I love video game sound tracks, and follow the music more than the game sometimes. Anyway, as Halo got bigger and bigger, more and more money got invested in the music department. Marty o'Donald scratched together the music for the first game on a sore string budget, and produced the best sound track of the franchise on a synthesizer and electric guitar. As the franchise got bigger, he stated doing his music with an orchistra instead, which (imho) has no business in the video game industry, especially an blood pumping FPS like halo.

As a result, while I have all the halo music, most of it is boring and not interesting, even in game. Only the stuff from the first two games when Marty had no money was the music memorable and worthwhile.

I got the anniversary edition of halo one, and they left everything the same EXCEPT THE ONE SONG THAT EVERYONE LOVES: rock anthem for saving the world from the third mission. Now it is orchestral mush that fits nicely in the back ground, but does not make you feel like a bad ass.
