Santangelo better not be dead

If all he's worth is change and a spoiled sweetroll, then you need to fire whoever wrote the story as well. You can't just pay someone to write this and then act like the character portrayed as the one writing isn't worth a dime.

He was narcissistic in a likable way, not a kill-him-off-at-the-end-of-a-three-page-story way.
