but then, what if when I buy it, Udyr gets a brand new visual update, and I like it better than his ultimate skin, just wasted 35 bucks. What's the deal Riot, it's not like Spirit Guard Udyr offers up some unique theme to Udyr, it's just a better version of his classic which, hopefully will get visual updated anyway.

Oh don't worry, it's fairly known Spirit Guard Udyr was an early concept of a possible Udyr VU (At least that's what they say). Meaning, we won't see a graphical update if not in the long run.
Udyrs update is probably still rather far away.
If they update udyr,then they'll probably keep his style rather the way it is to avoid similarities with SGU and they will most likely never give him that many special effects as SGU.
Riot made a money grab with this skin.
By all Rights, this should have been Udyr's visual update, but they went for the expensive skin instead.
