Graves killed Ekko's Friend/brother!

Before anyone says anything.. I understand graves is from bilgewater, but considering his lore states"" Graves made the mistake of hustling a hefty sum from Dr. Aregor Priggs, a high-ranking ZAUNITE official and businessman""" it isnt a stretch to say he could make it to ZAUN, and it does say in his lore""he stowed away on the first ship to the mainland he could sneak aboard. ""

In Ekkos comic book, he finds his friend (brother?) killer and its an elderly man with gray hair, a mustache and a gun tucked away in his cloak.. Graves.. looks exactly the same, but he has black hair. To explain that, we can always say that this comic book didnt happen in present time, instead, ekko was a few years from now where graves has aged a tad bit.

What do you all think? Ive already been told my theory is wrong, but the only reason provided is that "graves is from bilgewater."
