Enough of this "lore takes time" bs

This works for events.... But guys, let's be real. Riot makes bank out the ass, and it has been an entire year since the recon.... And they haven't taken the time to write the twenty one line background pages in game for champions who's lore is literally nonsensical. If riot wanted it done, it woulda been done... Period. I get that in terms or releases, it takes time and riot mostly works on gameplay, but anyone blindly defending the hurr sure I'm a writer writing 1000 words on 20 champions that can literally be as simple as asking the player about the champ cough cough rammed cough cough is just a fanboy.

I believe this is the involvement of Riot as a business company that we wanted, but not the involvement we meant. Big changes to lore these times comes with different things, usually new champions entwined with older ones, and old character's updates, the last one seems to be the chosen path lately, which brings the question for Riot as company "Why should we put out boring weekly lore content to make happy a little fanbase when we could put up a big hyped event with relaunches, skins and incons?" Sadly, i think this is their thought; might be wrong, but this is just the way i feel it.

They've been trying to get a new senior narrative writer for months. It's hard to push the lore forward on its own when you don't have anyone creating a direction for it.

Ever tried writing?

You want to put quality into it, not just churn it out.

Honestly, I'm perfectly fine waiting for lore events because we get some real quality shit. And I'm sure there's more than 20 champions that could use some love on their lore, and I don't want some "herp derp here's a 1000 word summary." Did you read the Kindred tale that came out? That's how it's done. Good shit takes time, you can write crap but it isn't going to be any good.

See, here's the thing; Riot does not make money from you reading and enjoying the lore, they just don't. When you run an F2P game, you have to create "content" (AKA, skins and other paid crap) to make money off whales who throw money at Riot by the fistful to play dress-up. Lore, however, does not generate any income, but it does cost money to create. So, ask yourself, why would Riot lose money to make their game better - being an F2P company and all, who couldn't care less about quality so long as you throw money at them?

This is just another wonderful side effect of a game being "F2P," and another reason why I hate F2P as a concept and hope it crashes and burns and disappears -- along with DLC in its current form.

First thing first the lore recon anoucement was made by complete accident. Secondly Riot wants to put out their lore through events such as the bildgewater one. They probably have alot of the lore written down however they want to wait to release them everything else. It's a f2p game after all and lore make no money unless pair with skins. Beside Riot are realeasing plenty of intresting ti bits of lore and world building. So you all can stop being salty

Like Shaco's lore. Just take out the last paragraph and we'll be fine.

Quit using logic

If you've played league you know 1) any and all logic is immediately shunned

and 2) We all know riot has billions and we all have NO idea where they spend it, so refer to 1 if you try and decypher that question.
