How do people even get these wrong? they're pretty obvious...

There is no ultimate right way to pronounce stuff. English is different in the US, in England, in Australia, etc.

French people will say Le Blan, while every english speaker will pronounce the C at the end, which should be silent.

Also, if we wanna really get into it, the "correct" pronounciation for Sejuani would be Se-yu-anee, not Se-ju-anee. Just like Freljord. No one says Frel-jord, and that is because the J is a vowel, just like in Finnish.

I am Brazillian and will continue to pronounce it as Shack-o, because Shay-co makes absolutely no sense in latin-derived languages.

Actually yes there is, there are entire institutions dedicated to that, furthermore when we're dealing with names created by a company like Riot, they decide how it's pronounced and they have a set pronunciation to the names. You are blatantly wrong.

Yeah, except those set pronounciations scholars, institutions and dictionaries propose basically work for those who are not native speakers.

Portuguese is pronounced differently in Portugal, in São Paulo (southeast of Brazil), in Bahia (northeast), in Angola, etc.

English in pronounced differently in New York, in Sydney, in London, in Liverpool, in Ireland, etc.

Hell, English is even written differently for some words when we compare the American and British.

All of those are nothing but cultural differences, dialects. A language is not ecstatic. It evolves along with its people and no dialect is more right or wrong than the other.

Also, names like LeBlanc which are obviously derived from French should be pronounced like French, if we wanna be picky. Same for Sejuani, which on top of it all is inconsistent with the pronounciation for Freljord.

That being said (or emoted) this game was created in English and thus, English is the correct term.

Adaptations exist and they're wrong but they are as close as can be to the correct term (Ex: Fishu bonu). Basically, you can be wrong if you want, nobody is stopping you from being blatantly incorrect.

I've never heard anyone say Udyr as Utter. I've always said oo dir, but I can get used to saying "Oh, Dear" whenever I see him running at me in the future.

And I've always done Shaco like Wacko. It's up there with calling Xin Zhao "Win Now".

Veigar = Vay-gar (Tristana says it and he also says it in his Final Boss skin) Kayle = Kale. Like the vegetable.

Just want to add, it really irritates me when I hear people say Morgana "Morg-ann-uh" instead of "Morg-ah-nah."

I'd pronounce ay and ey the same way, so either works. Lol

I've heard so many pronunciations for Veigar. Vee-gar, Vi-gar, Vey-grr, etc.
