Evelynn's possible place in the new lore, theory/concept.

Okay so hear me out here on a couple things before i start the small concept of Evelynns new origin that i just thought of and of the possibility of this being used to actually solidify her into the game.

First: Evelynn's lore is litterally two sentences long and she doesn't really have anything related to any other champions, except twisted fate(Ex Lover).

Second: Her kit is out dated and very unhealthy but her artwork is really beautiful (especially her newest artwork for her base skin)

Third: She has already been stated as being up for a full VGU and Rework in the near future.

So with this in mind i got to thinking "Where in the entire Lore of Runeterra would a sneaky Assassin/Thief actually make sense?" well there are two places that i thought of.

The first is at the start of the Ruined King calamity where "An unknown Thief" stole the skull of Mordekaiser which led up to the events of the Ruined King. This is interesting and i'll get into it later as to why she can be put here.

The second is before the Inauguration of Swain where the previous High Commander of the Noxians was assassinated by an unknown person(who was not leblanc, leblanc did help swain but did not kill the Noxus High Commander).

So we have two places where an unknown assassin has caused huge ripple effects through generations just by doing one little thing and in both cases, the person is unknown. Who out of all of the known character's in League could actually pull something like this off without ever letting his/her identity be revealed, well this where things get a bit interesting.

I have a theory that Evelynn's new origin might be being hinted at us and here it is.

In the past there was another Shadow like figure who would appear at vital times in history to turn the tides of battle, his name was Aatrox. Now this certainly isn't the same as assassinating key figures but i'm getting to that.

Aatrox is a Darkin, a race of unknown origin with only five member's remaining, presumably all Darkin are near immortal and are extremely powerful in their own right. In addition their Physiology is of Dark single colored skin(aatrox for example is red wish harsh black tint), glowing eyes that match their skin color(red eyes for Aatrox) and finally the wings and other strange Bone-like living armor that cover's their body, in Aatrox's case this is on his Forearms and Legs along with his living sword.

It's not known whether every Darkin has a weapon like this however if we look at Evelynn's concept and lore, her ability is to "Sap the life out of her enemies" most likely with her spikes or claws. Well it just so turns out that in her Newest artwork, her Spikes and Claws share a resemblance to Aatrox's living weapon and his armor in design. This may not have been intended but it does show. In addition her Skin color while not the same as Aatrox's is Dark Blue and her Eye's match her by only being a few shades off from her base color, similar to Aatrox.

This leads me to believe that all Darkin have the ability to sap life from their opponents in some way,shape or form with some sort of weapon or ability. In Aatrox's case this would be his living sword, but in evelynn's case it's her Spike's and Claws that share a striking similarity with his armor and sword in design.

Next if we take a look at her newest Artwork again, she's sitting on the steps to a castle and at first glance it looks completely normal but if we look closer it resembles the lighting and color scheme of the shadow isles but not as harsh or maybe not quite yet the shadow isles as in the Blessed Isles. If we assume that this castle she is at is in the Blessed Isles then this artwork could depict her in the act of stealing Mordekaiser's Skull and would make her old enough to be considered a Darkin.

Now for her abilities, she can summon spikes (we've already attributed this to being part of Darkin Physiology) and hide in the shadow's. Well, this is where i'm not to sure about, it's possible the Term "Darkin" actually refer's to this ability and the Race's Sinister abilities as a whole. And that the Darkin, similar to other Race's in Valoran, happen to have a few things that they're able to do but may be able to master one thing more than another. Like sapping life from people they kill or hiding in the shadow's. It does make sense that Darkin should have this ability, Aatrox seemingly appear's out of nowhere in the middle of battles without any warning and he can't just burst into existence so maybe Aatrox didn't master it like Evelynn did, this might also explain why evelynn only get's a shield from her Ultimate and not health (she's not proficient in sapping life like Aatrox is).

Finally its possible all Darkin have a complex that involves battle or interfering with things they probably shouldn't. Such as killing a high commander or turning the tides of a one sided war. They also might have a complex for Killing and enjoy causing pain, both aatrox and evelynn love both of these things. These may just be coincidences but considering that Aatrox is the only known Darkin and Evelynn's orgin is unknown but she shows to have a lot of similarities to Aatrox that she may very well be a Darkin or that she could be reworked into one in the future.

This is also a concept for her possible reworked lore as an attempt to put her into the League of Legends new lore and to also fill the gaps of other parts of the lore which has become more common recently. I also think that these might be early hints to her new lore when they changed her Artwork and that this may very well be possible but what do you guys think. I think i'm sleepy and probably thought about this too much so it only makes sense to me but whatever i think its fun anyway.
