I see an inherent problem with the VS lore.

This event is cool and all, but the potential ending has me a bit confused because, well.......

Neither side can win.

Come on, we've all seen it. From Diablo to Marvel, the whole "Order vs Chaos/Light vs Darkness" thing always comes down to there needing to be a balance at all times, and if this balance leans to heavily in one direction or the other, all hell breaks loose (even if the "good" side wins, and even worse if the "bad" side wins).

So, why are we competing with each other, if the inherent outcome will be overall negative?

I don't know. Riot's planning something, obviously, so, we'll just have to wait and see. It was just a thought I had.

This event doesn't really have a lot to do with the games lore and world building. It's basically a fancy promotion for the skins and the new missions system. They can have one side win since it would affect basically nothing and when the event is over it likely won't be addressed again in the future.

Cause marketing.

This kind of event will never make sense. There will always be the people that want more freedom; those who love revolution. These are the people that follow the path of "chaos." There will also always be those who are more controlling and demand "peace" and order. If Order wins, the revolutionary will overthrow them. If Chaos wins, it will slowly dissipate from civil wars and order will slowly assert itself into rule. There won't be a negative outcome because these forces will automatically balance themselves. Because of this, Riot probably doesn't care about doing anything to make the repercussions make any sense at all.

What if order wins the new world could be dominated by the cultures that value order like Damacia and Piltover? and if Chaos wins, cultures like Noxus and Zaun are more dominate.

Well, they could always do a sequel event to where we have to restore balance. :D

Balance?

Hardly.

Darkness isn't a thing. It's just a less than comfortable level of light.

Likewise, chaos isn't a thing. It's a less than comfortable level of order.

Well why would it matter? It is a spinoff fantasy universe of another fantasy universe. It is more of a fun thing for the community to pick a side and compete. I loved this event and think it is fun to be a bad guy chaos person. I have friends who always is the hero, good guy, protect the weak, follow every rule and justice person, but to me that sounds kinda similar to communism. xD
