Who "owns" each item?

Like Olaf for righteous glory, gangplank for DMP, Darius for BC. Champions who thematically and in game model seem to "own" an item. Maybe im reading too far into this though.

Thoughts?

Some of the items you see in game do in fact belong to champions. item 3191 is owned by Sejuani , although it originally belonged to Lissandra

item 3022 Is Greyor's from the Howling Abyss. He says "I crushed my share of skulls with that one!" if you purchase it.

He might possibly own item 2051 too

Perhaps Kassadin owns item 3512 considering his Voidstone passive. But Malzahar would make sense considering he actually summons voidlings and it fits better thematically.

Well Olaf and Darius don't really have those items, especially not Olaf. For Darius I can see him using Black Cleaver since it's Noxian, his axe isn't the same as that, and Righteous Glory is Demacian, so it's certainly not Olafs. The only ones I know for sure are Sejuani and item 3191 , Gangplank and item 3742 . I don't know who else owns any in game items, if anyone else actually does. You could make some arguments as to who owns what but I don't recall any completely obvious and matter of fact cases other than the two mains ones of Sej and GP.

Oh also Kalista and item 3599 , Viktor and item 3198 but those are pretty much givens as they're champ specific.

As an extra bonus Ziggs his Arcanist skin has item 3116 , item 3001 , item 3089 and item 3135 on hand.

The axes are similar, but not the same. Black Cleaver's a double bladed axe where as Darius's has a large blade on one side and a substantially smaller one on the other.

Lissandra is the Seeker in Seekers Armguard, actually! Sunfire cape has a Shuriman emblem on it, so I think a shuriman would have it. Maybe their soldiers wore something similar. Morellonomicon builds from Forbidden Idol, which seems Void-related, so Morello's might be too.

-Yeah, but Sejuani is wearing the Armguard right now. -The Sunfire cape was actually used by the soldiers of Shurima, the same soldiers that Azir creates with his sand.

No one champion owns any of the artifacts sold in the in-game shops. They are all owned and curated by the Institute of----Oh wait, crap, never mind. Carry on!

I would expect Lissandra would keep item 3092 for obvious reasons, but it is possible that item found its way into the hands of other inhabitants of the Freljord.

Lulu could well carry a item 1004 around with her on her adventures.

item 3302 , item 3097 , and item 3401 would all be kept with the Rakkor of Mount Targon, so the champion most likely to have access to them would be Pantheon.

item 1039 would belong with Rengar, since he is one of the two champions defined by hunting, and he actually uses tools.

I am inclined to think that Ryze would be a candidate owner of the item 3114 , given his history of exploring forgotten and forbidden magics. Of course, the same could be said about the item 1052 , item 3108 , item 3152 , and most other book or artifact-style AP items.

I would bet the item 3096 was kept by Sivir prior to her encounter with Azir.

Ezreal would love a good item 1037 .

The item 3105 is probably kept by the Lightshield family of Demacia.

I may be biased because I have only ever built item 3112 on Braum, but I would think he would keep it around for a little comfort in the harsh Freljord. I could just as easily see it being kept by the Avarosans (of which Braum is an affiliate) or the Frostguard.

The item 3001 and item 3135 would, of course, be in the hands of Malzahar or Kassadin.

That's all I have for now, but I think this is a discussion that could be dragged out for a long time. It would be neat to get some context and lore on many of these items, if only to flesh out a little more of Runeterra's history.
