A pretty wild assumption Mr/Mrs/Miss/Mstr Quepha. All we know is they've been targeted by someone for something. No idea what for. You assuming the above is kinda dumb at this stage, considering these teasers are practically dream sequences more than anything else, at least from the outset.

Now if you're talking about League's women in general being thrown in to fridges, then I can only bring Senna to mind as a woman in the fridge, and she's not a champion. I might be forgetting something but that's the only major one I can bring to mind.

Then who the hell is effected by Sona ?

Really this isn't even a good example of the fridge trope (as you explain).

The "Stuffed in the Freezer" trope is basically the idea that a character is killed in a horrible manner and left for the hero to find. Traditionally this was often a case where it'd be a girlfriend, wife or female friend, and so the trope isn't the best viewed because of that. The only example I can remember from League is Lucian to Senna, where Senna is quite literally in the fridge, or in this case the lantern. The whole point of the trope is to kinda force the character to whom the victim had relations with to feel something and stir the plot somewhat, which kinda doesn't help the negative view, because it can sometimes be viewed as "the female character's role is only to serve the interests of the male character, even in death", if that makes sense.

I might've butchered the explanation of the trope so here's a better read, though be warned, 'tis a link to TVTropes I provide!

it's not that the trope can't be done well or hasn't been done with men as the victims before (though I can't bring any to mind right now), the trope itself and the way it's named aren't doing it any favors. When Lucian was initially released people expressed their concerns about Senna being this trope and being a bit worried about seeing such a thing in League, though it helps Senna's portrayed in Lucian's lore as the straight guy in their marriage so to speak, so she there was never any inferiority or anything there.

So yeah. Tropes aren't inherently bad, they're simply a part of story telling; no matter how varied stories get you can essentially boil them all down to the barest elements. That's why, especially with not to great tropes like this one, you've gotta look at the specifics sometimes.

For now, we don't even know if Garen, Zed, Vi or Sona have been negatively affected by this, or even if they're aware of it in the lore. Putting the fridge wife trope in here is really jumping the gun since these teasers have little context as to what the sod is even going on in them.

Seriously why does everyone think they are dead? That would be a really stupid move by riot to kill off 4 champions just to hype 1 new one.

Especially because these 4 champs would be the first champion deaths,would be extremely anticlimatic and really a waste of characters,since none of the 4 did anything meaningful in any kind of lore piece. It would be like introducing a major character in a setting just to kill him/her off the moment they show up. "oh you want sonas story?well she lived and then was killed,the end!You want a conclusion to the Shen vs Zed rivalry?Too bad zed got killed by this mysterious stranger and you'll never learn what happened with shens father"

The bullet that pierces these champs is definetly magical and there'd be no point in making it magical like this if it just kills its target like regular bullets.

Not to mention that it is really hypocritical of you to be all like "how can they kill off 2 female champs like this" completely disregarding that 2 male champs were also affected by this

Regardless of the sex of the victims, it's just a cheap and lazy trick the writers are using to get some free buzz.

That's what I keep pointing out, each of them looks more asleep than dead, and a lot of the imagery used in the gifs and the movies leads me to believe this new character will have some sort of spiritual based abilities in their kit.

Unless you never assumed they were dead. In which case you'd just be wondering "Oh, stuff's happening with these champions!", and be intrigued regardless.

It's a TEASER. It's meant to get people excited and hyped for what's to come. This one is just using already existing champions.

first off, do you even know how many half a dozen is? like seriously 2 does not equal 6, and it goes both ways two male champs two female. plus who says they are dead it could be some weird dream or it could be entirely figurative as it is with the whole zed & cherry blossom stuff. and they've literally disabled gp because he's "dead" just for lore purposes so hyping a new champ with "almost dead looking" champion pages is nothing. stop overreacting.
