Star Gaurdian Ahri is a Legendary skin.

At least by what the previews show.

For those of you upset by this reveal, you should actually be happy about this bit of news. Why?

Because I doubt we'll see a new skin after this for Ahri for quite some time. I suspect a minimum of 2 years. I know this might be difficult to believe, especially now, but look back on the patterns of releases for skins in the past.

Normally, when Riot makes a really high quality skin, such as a Legendary, they tend to step away from making skins for that champ for quite awhile.

Examples: Master Yi, Ashe, Rumble, Sion, Sona, Nocturne, and Cho'gath; just to name the more obvious ones.

Of course, I can't speak for Riot, for I don't know what they're plans are. But, I can say that I am 90% sure that Star Gaurdian Ahri will be the last Ahri skin we see for a really long time, not only due it being a Legendary, but also due to the sudden outcry over the reveal.

You could release pool party ahri in a month as a ultimate skin and people would still buy it.

It leave me a bit bittersweet because, Lux is the former skin and it got outshined pretty hard by most of those skin.. She could at least have the recall and be the number 1 skin.. and in all honesty, i hate ahri, ahri playerbase and fanbase, and anything related to this turbo slut champion...

Honestly, I'm annoyed that Ahri is the legendary skin. I would have much preferred Soraka or Ezreal.

Eh, she's gotten one a year like most champions, but people don't actually look up the number or dates when it comes to her.

I'm not certain that I agree with your logic, with all of those instances you still have outliers such as Teemo and Tristana who still receive new content.

This is Riot we're talking about...they'd give Ahri an ultimate skin right after her SG one in a few weeks if they knew that it would sell like crazy.

Champions who are popular get more skins then ones who aren't, Ahri is a popular champion and people will want a new one soon.
