At least by what the previews show.

For those of you upset by this reveal, you should actually be happy about this bit of news. Why?

Because I doubt we'll see a new skin after this for Ahri for quite some time. I suspect a minimum of 2 years. I know this might be difficult to believe, especially now, but look back on the patterns of releases for skins in the past.

Normally, when Riot makes a really high quality skin, such as a Legendary, they tend to step away from making skins for that champ for quite awhile.

Examples: Master Yi, Ashe, Rumble, Sion, Sona, Nocturne, and Cho'gath; just to name the more obvious ones.

Of course, I can't speak for Riot, for I don't know what they're plans are. But, I can say that I am 90% sure that Star Gaurdian Ahri will be the last Ahri skin we see for a really long time, not only due it being a Legendary, but also due to the sudden outcry over the reveal.

I'm not denying that, but we have strong reasons to believe otherwise.

They won't leave her in the dust after this for as long others, but I'm certain they'll step away from her for at least one extra year.

they've already announced pool party Ahri coming in next summer...

Riot can't ever give skins to my boi Yorick because that's too much work but making 20 more skins for Ahri is perfectly fine...

Imma leave league if there isn't a Yorick skin in 2017 like riot announced.

Riot also denied leaks from a while ago which correctly predicted the Zac moveset in the tank update and omega squad fizz.

The leak is most likely real due to the lack of truth when riot has talked about leaks in the past.

EDIT: You owe me either 10 boxes of cookies or a 20 paragraph essay on how great Yorick is with 50 sentences per paragraph.

Where do you see "Pool Party Ahri announced" in any of that?

These are months old posts that go off of nothing but rumors, and fan art. Riot would also never EVER announce something like this a whole year before its release. If they do that, they run into another Ao Shin dilemma, where hype builds up so damn much, that it eventually becomes impossible for them to deliver on said hype, disappointing the majority of the player base in the end.

This is exactly why you never see any announcements from Riot more than 6 months in advance, and if it's for a skin, the only time you will see them before they get on the PBE is if they're leaked, of which, all leaks must be taken with a grain of salt. Sometimes their right, sometimes their wrong, you can never know.

EDIT: That leak was made before 7.12, and "announced" a new champ which might be in production, but if he was meant to come after Kayn, or, even be Kayn, it was completely wrong.

Also, the leak happened when Star Guardian Ahri should have been in production. It is a legendary skin, so, that means they probably started working on it around January/February, if not earlier.

I will admit that Urgot was fairly close, and recent hints say that the Evelynn leak could also be kind of close.

It leave me a bit bittersweet because, Lux is the former skin and it got outshined pretty hard by most of those skin.. She could at least have the recall and be the number 1 skin.. and in all honesty, i hate ahri, ahri playerbase and fanbase, and anything related to this turbo slut champion...

Lux is simply unlucky for getting the first skin of the series. She got it because she was the most fitting champion,but they didn't make it legendary because they didn't know if it would fail or not. Now that Riot knows that this skin series sells like crazy they are more comfortable making legendary skins for it.

Pretty much the same goes for Project Yasuo.

At least it got a flight animation for Homeguard to match the rest. Meanwhile, Arcade Sona not only still has no recal animation for a 1350 skin, but also lost the special RPG-like icons for defense up after the rework.

Honestly, I'm annoyed that Ahri is the legendary skin. I would have much preferred Soraka or Ezreal.

See at first i was all for that, wanted her to have a new VO (finally), but after i slept on the idea thank god it's not her legendary. I prefer if her legendary to be who she is sexy and dangerous, not cute and pretty.

Yeah Ultimately I agree too. Like it would've been badass, but not THE LEGENDARY skin MF deserves. Idk what MFs legendary would/should be though.

Soraka needs her legendary skin soon too =( personally I want some kind of goddess soraka somewhat similar to God Fist Lee Sin but in a Soraka way.

Quite the contrary. I've been playing ever since Lucian was released, and have been on the boards ever since they were first introduced.

But I've also done more research on skins and release cycles than anyone else I've seen on these boards. If you want an example, take a look at my thread based on the next ultimate skin:

I've also done several threads pitting teams of champs all with one skin theme against each other, though, they never seem to gain any steam.

Because of all of this, I'd say I'm probably one of the best non-Rioters to go to when it comes to skins.

I'm not certain that I agree with your logic, with all of those instances you still have outliers such as Teemo and Tristana who still receive new content.

I'm not saying they're going to abandon her altogether. They would never do that.

I am saying that there is a good chance that we won't see a skin for her next year.

The year after is anyone's guess.

This is Riot we're talking about...they'd give Ahri an ultimate skin right after her SG one in a few weeks if they knew that it would sell like crazy.
