Riot has stepped up in production in skins.
This is why we are starting to see champs get more than one skin in one year.
Master Yi got Cosmic Blade and Eternal Sword Blitzcrank got Lancer Rogue/Paragon (at the same time) Vi has gotten Warring Kingdoms and PROJECT Jhin has Blood Moon, PROJECT, and SKT.
Now, some of you might say "This is totally unfair to some of the less popular champs." While, yes, this is true, you do have to realize that this step up in production also means that the champs that have been waiting for skins for so long will be moving up through the line far quicker than they used to.
Awhile back, it would seem like Riot would wait at least 6 months before even starting a skin for a champ that they made one for, and, depending on what quality of skin that was, it would take them anywhere from 3 months to well over a year to make the skin.
Now, however, that 6 month rule is completely thrown out the window, and the amount of time it takes them to make a skin has been reduced dramatically. Before, a 1350 skin would take anywhere from 6 to 8 months to make. Now, it seems they can pump one out in as little as 4 months, if that.
So, consider this a PSA. You will start to see champs get more than one skin in a year. Champs who haven't gotten skins in a very long time will have their wait time reduced dramatically for a skin, so much so, that they might get lucky, and get more than one skin in a year.
How long will Riot keep this up? Who knows. This may just become the new norm.
