On a scale of 1 to 10, how hyped are you for the Swain VGU?

Just asking out of curiosity. Myself, I'm probably a 7......and that's mostly because I am FAR more interested in the impact he will have on the lore. From what we have seen, it honestly looks like Noxus is by far the largest, and most powerful nation in all of Runeterra. Sure, Demacia can stand up to it, and Ionia gave it a hell of alot of trouble, but neither can really compare to the full might of Noxus.

And seeing what the overall ruler of it all has to offer certainly has me intrigued.

A solid 8 for me. Personally I'm gonna be most excited for a Cho'Gath VGU or a Rammus VGU but that's just me. Regardless I'm really intrugied to see where the lore goes for Swain, considering how involved in the story he was in the pre-retcon days. Swain's one of the most important characters in terms of the wider Runeterran political side of things, considering he's head of what's gotta be one of, if not the largest nation of modern Runeterra, and really only Azir and Jarvan III holding claim to anything close to that kind of influence.

A 9 i'd say because i never played him (and will probably still not, its far from my game style) but for the lore ? Oh my. I can't wait to see this all ! He has so much connections to many characters, from Noxus to Demacia to Ionia. His place in the lore is very big, and with the level of lore Riot has given us recently, i expect something big ! Heard about Irelia being related to him, (Noxus Ionia war) and a Noxus lore update (like they did with Demacia upon Galio rework). So i'm more than hyped! I hope that he keeps his ties with Demacia as well, the Noxus/Demacia conflict is one of my favorites.

Overall even if he is unpopular game-wise we have to admit Swain has a big impact in the lore. So i'm really hyped personnally. Just for all these doors of thought opening, all the new stories revealed.

Im curious about who will be left out ~~when~~ if the Noxus Lore is updated with swains vgu Swain Leblanc Vladimir Darius Draven Katarina Sion Talon These are the most noxian affiliated champions so all have an equal need to be included in the update

7-8 Never played him,but Im looking forward to see with what RIOT comes up with and the lore update we're bound to get :3

I've come to the point where more hyped about VGU /reworks than new champions

I'm happy that he gets a VGU and I hope the mains will like it. But personally I don't really care as I don't play him.

I'm not a Swain main but I do play him sometimes

I'm mostly hyped because of his new look and lore. I like the cruel master tactician thing and curious about how they will implement his new personnality to Noxus history, and the consequences to this faction

I'm about a 5 or so. I don't play a lot of Swain at all, but I'm always interested in how a champion's update will look and turn out. Plus, it'd be interesting to see how the lore changes along with him. Also, not gonna lie, I don't like fighting the current Swain, so I'm looking forward to something less toxic to fight. lol

As someone who mains jungle but also top I'm fairly excited for two reasons.

One: Swain is a Noxian champion and I'm a pretty big fan of certain champions from Noxus Darius Sion Kled

Two: Riot's latest reworks have gotten me to try, and even more play, very old champs that I would never have touched before. Urgot I just thought was a clunky mess but his rework turned that around and he's one of my favorites. Eve just didn't seem that interesting but now is fun and fairly easy to play to an extent. Warwick for crying out loud is one of the best reworks yet and if memory serves me he hasn't been touched in nerfs or buffs so that's saying something.

So yeah, as a possible new candidate to add to my roster of top laners and trying new champs, I'm pretty excited. cranked up to 11.

I'm at an 8 and slowly declining for every patch I don't see the teaser. I get that he's coming soon, but I was expecting "Starting the year off with a teaser", not "wait through 3 patches to possibly get a teaser for him to be released the following patch". Every week that goes by that he doesn't get teased makes me have less and less hope for this year being the "year full of champ updates" that Riot was making it out to be.

Still an 8 cause its still pretty early and who knows how much stuff Swain is bringing with him, but if we don't get that teaser soon, I may be dropping to a 5 in no time.

Honestly, I don't care for Swain or Noxus in the slightest. The only reason I want to see his reveal is so we can get the next roadmap showing the next VGU and giving some hints towards the next new champ.

He is related with demons. If it is beatrice and she can talk, I would like to see their interaction.
They hyped his visuals and appearance so much, it makes me wonder. Like "one of the best visual in the game", "hot daddy" etc.
He is midlaner, which is potential new main for me.

It would be 10 if his current theme was interesting for me.

Only Evelynn hyped me to 10 among all of VGUs and she is currently my main in the jungle. Other tier 10 VGUs would be Mordekaiser, Shaco and Nocturne.

Funny. I haven't almost played the game these last months, but I keep entering in the boards and in the official news page only for the lore updates.

6 I'm interested in some of the Noxus lore, but some of the details that've been released have knocked me down a few pegs of interest. I don't much care about warlocks and demon birds. I was way more interested in the master tactician.

I'm really hyped because Riot's been hyping him as like the best thing ever and I really like the Tanky fighter mage archetype and the sustain mage class but I hate playing as Vlad and old Swain is ok but he needs some updates. If they keep him in toplane and add some depth to his kit kinda like they did with Gangplank (but maybe not to that extent) then I'll play the fuck out of him.

From what has leaked, I think they went in a good direction.

Most of the Swain mains I've interacted with are likewise pretty stoked. We'll see how things go, but the hype is super real.

His kit is pretty un-interactive, his auto-attack is ugly, and he looks like he came from several seasons ago. That said, he’s a demon-man abomination responsible for countless deaths, and I hate him for that, so I’m about a 3.

Same as you, op. A nation like Noxus irl would be scary, but in fictional lore is very interesting and entertaining. Got my Figers crossed for Riot to update Noxus' lore like they did with Bilgewater with GP's rework
