Maybe she's schizophrenic, and hallucinates that she's discussing her plans with a disembodied ally? Considering the various types of schizophrenia, she does exhibit symptoms. Maybe she's not even really dancing, but just manifesting odd body positions due to catatonia? She's certainly got the characteristic muteness...
Players are still Summoners, they just aren't attached to the lore. She's breaking the 4th wall as she always was.
The champions are not in the IoW or LoL as they once were. I like to think of it like this: LoL uses "clones" of our beloved champions of runeterra in a setting completely removed from the "real world" of Runeterra.
