Who the @#*&% is Sona talking to in like 95% of her 'spoken' lines?

She specifically refers to a summoner when picked, isn't that nonsense now?

Maybe she's schizophrenic, and hallucinates that she's discussing her plans with a disembodied ally? Considering the various types of schizophrenia, she does exhibit symptoms. Maybe she's not even really dancing, but just manifesting odd body positions due to catatonia? She's certainly got the characteristic muteness...

The barrier between a comic, video game, movie etc. and the viewers. When a character addresses the viewer as if they are having a real conversation, that's called "breaking the 4th wall".

4th wall is when you react directly with the audience/players/viewers where the character takes themselves out of their reality and injects opinions about it into audience/players/viewers.

The 4th wall isn't specific to league, but rather literature or things similar like games or movies, normally when they acknowledge the fact that they are within a story or similar (like Mordekaiser quipping at how he is inside a game, hence the clicking)

Actually, when summoner's were cannon, and we were playing as the summoner, this interaction didn't break the 4th wall at all. It made perfect sense, and I really enjoyed that kinda interaction as it was literally part of the game's narrative being showcased within the game itself.

Back in the good old days when the game was actually allowed to be intertwined with the story. *faceplam, why wouldn't you want your game to represent your story? Isn't that the whole point in having a story? So that it explains why your character is doing what they are doing?

The champions are not in the IoW or LoL as they once were. I like to think of it like this: LoL uses "clones" of our beloved champions of runeterra in a setting completely removed from the "real world" of Runeterra.

The game is canon-less. It is just a bunch of nonsense... there was no reason to remove all the lore.

Riot has explained why the old lore was gutted on numerous occasions.

What IS canon is that the game we play and the lore we like are no longer related in any way shape or form.

And for me, that's fine. I am just glad that we are getting lore pretty regularly now, even if it did take them a while between the reboot and new content.
