All I can see are purple hoods which make them basically the same. If you could at least see a little more of Kennen's face to see the yordle, maybe...

I find Malzahar's icon to be especially distinct due to the intense lighting from his hood's void symbol.
Kennen's icon I find distinct due to how sharply geometrical or angular his hood is.
I still don't see what was wrong with Kennen's old icon and splash

Riot's new art in general has been pretty lackluster. Kennen look awful in his. I get that every single bit of art has to be "edgy" and "intense" and full of action-poses, drama and lens flare... but c'mon! How about it be readable from a distance when it's shrunken down in-game? And tone back the over-the-top crap. The new Dragon fist Lee Sin skin art is so edgy and extreme it punched my mother in the face and stole her heart pills. Is a rioter letting their teenage son decide what the splash arts will look like?
Let's not do to League what they tried to do to Looney Tunes... eh?

I don't understand why they keep updating the splashes though. "Not up to the current standard" even though I really liked the old art style and am not a fan of this new one. I mean, no offense to the artists but this thing 
is hideous.

We need a mouseover name pop up for champ select, really. Icons change so often I sometimes have no idea who they are until the match loads.
I think more important is differentiating poppy and tristana. I've lost ranked games because of adc's panic picking tristana only to realize that they picked the definition of "one-and-done".

Yeah I accidentally banned my team mates' Kennen when I was trying to ban Malzahar. Its a problem.

Sometimes when I look at the minimap, I see elise even though it's malz.
This. The first time I saw the enemy team pick malz I was like, "Who did they just first pick??? Is that Kennan, because I have no idea."
I don't see a problem myself, they are clearly two different shades.
