So, the Targon lore...

Well, on one hand they were pretty well written. Nothing too surprising, but they did what they were supposed to do.

On the other hand, did all three Targon champs REALLY need to have the same basic story? 'They were different from other people. Then they went up the mountain and became godlike.' The only real difference is that Leona and Diana kept their personality, while Panth didn't.

Also: I'm not sure I'm a big fan of Leona becoming more vicious and Diana becoming less. I suppose it's one way of explaining that the sun might not be good and the moon might not be bad, but it's kinda at odds with their in game VO lines. Not that that stopped the Xerath changes, I suppose.

Maybe it's just because all three of them are just more intro stories, but I wasn't too excited about these.

The Targon information itself was pretty cool. Actual worldbuilding! It's great.

To be fair, Pantheon doesn't really have a personality atm besides, 'walking 300 reference.'

Did anyone else read Aurelion Sol's bio ang go 'nah I aint gonna play pantheon ever again."? 'Cause it takes seriously jayce-ery to do the s...tuff that the 'heroes' from Targon did in that...I lost a game because I was too sad by that ...

I loved all of it. It made each of the characters so much more human while at the same time defining them as something much, much greater. I am very pleased that Riot has abandoned the traditional idea of light = good and night = evil and has instead adopted more of an eastern philosophy of yin and yang, that light and darkness complement each other rather than oppose each other and are part of a greater whole.

I agree with most of what you said, but I can't bring my self to like any of this champions lore. Don't get me rong, I really like that they are trying to expand on this department, but I don't think they're doing a 'good' job.

All a get from reading Pantheon's one its "generic anime character". [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] Also, I don't see how a character becoming a heavenly being equals to becoming 'more human' or more relatable. Pardon my English.

Who do you think will cover the other two slots that are blank? my bet is on Taric as the Earth Aspect.

Yeah its a bit repetetive, but it does give us a lot of possibilities in terms of powers. Though I hop that one day we'll get a targonian champ who didn't climb to the top,you know a sort of badass normal of the group.
