So will Talon be getting his splashes/skins updated and/or a new >975 skin with his update? Im sure I saw somewhere that Riot felt Talon/Talon players deserved a >975 skin, but somewhat shortly thereafter SSW Talon came out, and it was loose phrasing to begin with. TL;DR, will Talon change/get anything new/upgraded cosmetically with his update?

Well Katarina's icons aren't too old and her SFX isn't that unpleasant to hear as well in game, I know this is a talon thread but I am interested in knowing if Katarina will be getting the same treatment?

Talon and LB are getting 100% new icons while Kat and Rengar are only getting new icons for new abilities since there icons are newer as well.

I'm sorry, I'm not too sure on what VFX and SFX specifically means when RIOT uses those terms. Does this mean some of Katarina's outdated splash arts will be updated?

SFX = sound effects. So, all the sounds that Katarina's spells make in-game.

GreenLore1 votesThe group updates are mainly going to change the gameplay of the assassins.
During the mage update we had Malzahar and Zyra getting small texture updates(but only for their classic skins),so something like that might be possible,but not very likely. And Talons splash art will likely stay the same as long as he doesn't get a design-changing texture update.
I doubt that Talon will get a skin immediatly after the assassin-rework,they likely want to wait some time to look if the rework was a success or not. (Mordes rework for example was considered a failure,he is now on the list for big updates and unable to get a skin until then).
DwarvenGiant1 votesAs far as we know he's not getting a Visual Update to his models. He's getting new VFX (and SFX too I think).
New splashes for him we don't know of, but you never know, they might surprise us.
Sinista Blade1 votesThe current splash update project they are doing is just for champs who received a VU in the past but no new splashes. Once they are down with them , they will move to Talon I guess. Kat would also be on the list but 1. she actually received a new set of splashes alongside her VU (but by now they are already outdated again) and 2. she just has so many splashes that need to be updated.
